“You're burning up, Clark,” she whispers between sobs. “These bruises could use some ice and you don't even have a single package of frozen peas.” She pushes me away and glares at me. “And of course I'm not going to find any bandages, am I?”

No Lois, there will be none of the usual stuff a sick person would have in their medicine cabinet. Another thing that separates Clark from us humans.

This was so beautifully written. The reveal was perfect, mature and made so much sense. Clark gets to tell Lois rather than her guessing and she does not fly off the handle demanding to know why he never told her. Instead, she asks those same question in a quiet manner. The only time we see Mad Dog Lane is briefly while she's trying to get ice cubes for his many bruises. Right now Lois is being what they are at the moment... a friend. The rest will follow in time. smile1

That being written, how about continuing this fic? I would enjoy reading how they take on Metallo, 'cause this is more than fluff!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
