That's not my intention at all. When I wrote that first chapter I wanted Clark to be Lois' Peter Pan. So she needed to be young enough to believe in magic and Clark needed to be old enough to fly. And I've been trying to fix the problem with the resulting age difference every since.

Describing their budding relationship/ friendship without having Clark come across as a pedophil is a fine line to walk for sure.
