Oh my goodness! For so long I was concentrating on the chronological difference that the lack of Clark's physical appearance (aka aging) completely slipped my mind! Neat answer to this problem!
Yeah, at least they won't be facing any frowns until Lois is the elderly woman and Clark still in his prime.
