Thanks a billion for the feedback, everyone!
Nancy, I really like that you spotted this:

Oh, man, poor Lois was pregnant a loonngg time. No wait.. Those little critters could live a loonggg time with that drug, couldn’t they?
They sure could!!!
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It feels peaceful, as if I could just fly away above the sea and forget about my troubles. Too bad that Smallville is in the other direction.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bet she can, too - fly to Smallville that is.
Ehh, hmmm... I wouldn't necessarily bet on this...

Jeepers… I wonder what her cup size is.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
K… No, no… J… You sure her name's not Priscilla?
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, well, Mom broke into Santa’s apartment here in Metropolis and looked around in there, the way she usually does when she wants to find things out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like mother, like daughter! hehe!
Yep!

he’d done it because he couldn’t resist her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Might be elseworld, but Clark is still Clark where Lois is concerned.
Yes, and I'm entirely with Clara here: it's sweet that he couldn't resist her.

I want to get from Metropolis to a place in Kansas called Smallville, for crying out loud – and I want to do it so that not a single adult will notice. Particularly not my Mom. How do I do it?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd suggest flying, but I'm thinking someone would notice her doing that for sure...
I think so too. And anyway, the flying bit isn't going to come at all easily to Clara.

(I could ask the librarian: Do you have a guidebook about how a kid can run some 1,500 miles away from home on $27.50? And by the way, how do I find this place Smallville anyway?)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hilarious!!!!
So glad you liked it, Lara! I thought it was funny, too.
Sheila, I'm so glad you like this story!
Yes, Maria, I think Lois has figured out that Clara has her diary. When Lois came home, taking the elevator up to her apartment, she could hear that Clara was running down the stairs as is the devil was after her. Maybe Lois tried to catch up with Clara, but she would soon notice that she had no chance of doing so. So I'm sure she went back up to her apartment to try to figure out why Clara had become so upset. And then she would have found out that her secret drawer had been broken into, and that her diary was missing.
Also, no, Clara doesn't know where Smallville is. She has a general idea of where
Kansas is, of course, but I'm not absolutely sure that she knows
exactly how to get from Metropolis to Kansas, if she has to go there by flying or running there herself.
I love your Super-Santa Series. It's so original. And funny. Did I mention hilarious? No? Well, that, too.
Thanks a billion, Mellie!

Well, Mom and Santa got together, and, hmmmm, they hit it off – they, uh, they did the sort of things I can’t even begin to tell you about, and when Mom finds out I have been reading about it she'll kill me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This totally freaked me out. Lois would have a hard time killing that girl, even if she tried.
Well, I don't think Lois
is all that angry - I think that right now, she's more a concerned and remorseful mother, blaming herself for making her little girl run away. Even so, seeing what you wrote here, I couldn't help picturing Lois unsuccessfully trying to strangle Clara!
I'll try to be back with the next part as soon as possible, but I have to admit I haven't even started writing it yet. (Bad Ann, get your act together, or Lois may try her stranglehold on you instead of on Clara....

)
