Crystal, this is such a tender, touching story, and the growing mutual attraction between Dan and Mayson is wonderful to see, especially the gentle and careful way you're doing it. I get the feeling that this story grew from a small plant into something much larger and much more alive and vibrant, and that it's now something you didn't quite expect it, but I'm glad we get to read it, no matter how it came to be.

I hope you're considering letting Mayson live. It would almost be too cruel for her to die after having her heart broken into a million little pieces by her unrequited love for Clark and then end her life just when it looks like Dan has the exclusive rights to the adhesive to repair her shattered organ. But then, since they never met in the show, having them meet now is not only different and daring, but very effective. Maybe Intergang would go down quicker with two couples in love working for truth and justice.

Just a thought - will this Dan be the one to buy the farm instead of Mayson? After she's spent a completely safe and chaste night in his arms? Oh, that might be even more cruel! But please don't do it on my say-so. You take the story where you want it to go, assuming your muses will let you.

On the other hand, Shakespeare's tragedies were just as popular as his romances and his comedies.

Just a passing thought.
