Although the question has been answered, I'll chip in. He saw a smiling, buxom blond who treated him as if he were a prince (despite what she really thought of him) and he fell for her act like an egg from a tall chicken. Men have been losing their mental capacities in the presence of beautiful women since God invented sex. It's not entirely his fault that she looked like a convenient target to her. Besides, if this Mindy is anything like the Mindy in the L&C baseline world who gassed a number of her competitors to death, her picture is in the dictionary beside the definition of the word "ruthless."
