The Story of the Sam Who Saved Christmas...

What a relief that was! I enjoyed Clark's ruminations. At least he was trying to be honest with himself and it wasn't *all* about Lana. Maybe he's really starting to let go of the teenage love affair. I would like to see him truly consider what Lana said about not raising another man's child. He should have reinforced that Christopher was his when she told him she didn't believe him, but he didn't. I think he needs to think long and hard about her attitude and if he really would want his son(s) subjected to someone who hated their mother. The Lana we were introduced to in the early chapters impressed him with her love for children... He *has* to see that she is no longer the same person.

I also am glad that Lois finally cracked a little. Her hard-nosed cold shoulder was taking her in the wrong direction. I was grimacing every time she asked Clark another question. She kept pressing for the answer she *really* didn't want to hear, and I was afraid of what that would do to her if she finally heard it. I'm with Michael--Clark needs to find flannel sexy.

Back to Lois, I really want her to slip up and confess her feelings for Clark. With my luck, she'll probably end up spilling that type of juicy stuff to Dr. Friskin, but I would love for Clark to have one more bee in his bonnet. Would that fix anything? Of course not, but wouldn't that be a fun tangled web? She's muttered some stuff that he couldn't quite make out... it's only a matter of time before she says something that requires the "Insert Foot in Mouth" diagram.

I hope the cruise leads to some fun moments between the two of them. We've had laughter, but it's mostly been for things external to their friendship/relationship: about Christopher, with Sam, with others, etc.

Here's to more tie fixin'!
