I have fifteen beautiful minutes of free time with nothing whatsoever to do (now that I've shut the kitchen door so I can't hear anyone's stomach growling for dinner). Anyway, James told me that he posted my story and I should check for feedback.
Let me begin with a sincere apology to Bob for severe tardiness. It wasn't a personal slight. I was frustrated that I didn't seem to have any time to get anything done for a long while. I knew that James had a legit excuse for not getting his writing done on time (although if you check you'll see that he hit the target date), but I hadn't realized how much of an effect his illness had upon me. It wasn't until after he was released from the hospital that I suddenly realized that I'd become a caregiver overnight and was woefully unprepared. Now that he's solidly in remission I can breathe again.
Bob, I'm glad you enjoyed your story. You deserve all the best. I'm also glad that it wasn't anything you could anticipate; I like keeping people guessing. I've been told in the past that I have a "morbid" sense of humor. Irreverant humor seems like a pretty good complement to me.
Ann, thank you for correcting me. I had actually planned on PMing you to ask about languages, but I promptly forgot.
Oops! My fifteen minutes are gone and I haven't had the opportunity to thank everyone personally for reviewing. I appreciate it, particularly since we now have both feet firmly planted in the fertile soil of Kerth season.
Elisabeth
PS Somehow I'm not surprised at the taste you like your music, Dandello. I always knew you liked just a touch of the wild side.
