It does seem strange to me that Lois would offer her resignation to her boss to work against the merger.
It was an impulsive decision - she was so shocked, she didn't think about all the other things you mentioned.
In a way, I was paying tribute to the many Hawthorn fans who totally disrupted their lives to save their club.
