Yep, pre-amnesia, he agonised over whether he could be what Lois needed. This Clark still has his natural modesty/humility, but he isn't damaged by the emotional trauma of the cell.
Emily it's so nice to see them have this time as a couple with no baggage and just enjoy each other.

MM I enjoy the banter, too. I couldn't really go there in the first three stories.
