John I think you want to say "Lois' wedding gown" or "Lois's wedding gown". I have to admit I have never figured out which form is correct, but you want to make it possessive. That will be addressed in the archive version.
Why he actually went and spoke with Lex never really made sense. This makes a lot more sense, and is much more satisfying than canon.
