Laura, I'm not familiar with the song, but all I can say is that you've been spending wayyyy too much time with a couple of people on IRC...  I never thought hyenas essential You didn't, Lex? And yet Elena thinks you're wonderful!  Hyenas. Did he need them? Utterly disgusting.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments! I am glad you thought it was funny -- even though I didn't even realize Kaethel and Elena were called "hyenas" on IRC. The funny thing is that when I was writing it, I kept having a nagging feeling that there was something that I heard on IRC about hyenas, but I couldn't remember what it was! Ever since I started watching L&C, I have seen a similarity between Lex and Scar -- and I am glad that I wasn't totally crazy seeing that parallel . - Laura
