As a natural extension of
Karen\'s thread about comic books ...
In "I'm Looking Through You," Murray Brown mentions licensing Superman comic books. Superman says he wants the proceeds to go to charity, but we never (AFAIK) hear about it again.
It's interesting, though, to think about what comic books would look like in the L&C universe. Particularly officially licensed Superman comics.
Would he have a secret identity? If so, what would his altar ego be like?
Who would his friends be?
What would he do? Just flying around making one rescue after another would probably make for a fairly boring comic...
How much of the story would be true?
Is Lex Luthor (or someone like him) a character?
How would L&C feel about seeing the comics?
Does anyone Clark knows collect them?
How would Superman's real-life presence affect comic book readers?
Think about these questions and others.
I'd like to see a few fics come out of this. Different people's takes. Different focuses. Perhaps a story about Lois reading the comics. Perhaps one about Jimmy. Perhaps one about Penny Barnes. Maybe something about some random kid we may never have met (or who had a cameo appearance on the show: throwing a doll, giving him a hug and telling him not to be "Mr. Grumpy-Pants," etc).
There are plenty of possibilities.
I'll be interested to see what you FoLCs come up with.
