Week of October 30, 1989

I wrote this the same night as You Care . I did not find it again until about a month later so my reasons for writing it are not as clear in my mind. I must have been thinking about how we should not argue or question the Lord about what He wants (when we know that it is the Lord that is talking).

Should Nots

When You say, "Follow Me."
I should not say, "Where too?",
I should say, "Lead me!"

When You say, "Tell them of Me."
I should not say, "Why?",
I should say, "Give me the right words!"

When You say, "Give."
I should not say, "I can't afford to!",
I should say, "How much is enough!"

When You say, "You have done wrong."
I should not say, "Why?",
I should say, "Forgive me Father!"

When You say, "Do."
I should not say, "I can't!",
I should say, "Give me strength!"
