Does anyone know if Ralph had a last name?

As far as I'm aware, we were never told Ralph's last name. Various authors have given him one over the years, myself included, but there's nothing canon, as I recall.

I think it might've been mentioned in passing during one of the episodes (like maybe Perry said it when he asked for a story or something) but I'm not sure, and can't re-watch my DVDs at the moment to find out.

Spagoda.

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

they kind of like that Ralph, although he did give Lois an upset stomach.

Spagoda. What a name. Sounds like a word play on Abe Vigoda. Thanks, Rivka.

Whoa, whoa - wait a minute. Which Ralph are we talking about here?

Ralph's Pagoda was a dodgy restaurant where Clark got bad Chinese food. But it wasn't the name of a person. From the script of The Phoenix:

LOIS (moaning)

I should have known better than to order chinese food from a place called Ralph's Pagoda.
I thought, initially, we were talking of the really irritating Daily Planet staffer. Wasn't his first name Ralph? Or am I getting confused now? I really need to brush up on my LNC episodes. <g>

I'm sure Classicalla was referring to Ralph, the Planet employee (who, according the scripts I checked didn't have a last name). Rivka was just being silly, I think (and hilariously so, I might add).

I check IMDb biography for the show and Ralph is in 3 episodes and in the shows credits on this site he is only listed as Ralph. I also then went and watched the 3 episodes (all in season 4) and he is only called Ralph unless I missed something. The episodes are:

1. Lord Of The Flys
2. Stop The Presses
3. 'Twas The Night Before Mxymas

Ralph wasn't seen before Season 4?

Or was it a different actor?

I thought about a tip-off smilie, but I was going for a dry delivery. Guess it worked a bit too well. wink

Rivka has been credited in the upcoming chapter of A New Hero thus:

I’d like to thank Rivka for telling me Ralph’s last name. I guess I'll have to add: even if she meant it as a joke.
Cool! I'd leave it as is, without the addition.

Yes, let people figure the joke out for themselves.

Besides, this name does explain Lois comment about the food at Ralph's Pagoda. Not only because of Ralph, but also... smile1
