It's time to nominate what stories you'd like to read for our fanfic club in February. If you have a fanfic in mind that you'd like to nominate, please post the title of the story, the name of the author, and a link to it on the Archive. It makes things a little easier when it comes time for me to take the nominations and create a poll for us to select one to read. So far, we have two stories nominated, Mendacity by Dandello in the short story category and And Then there was Light by Anti-Kryptonite in the long story category.

Checking the list of stories Michael's recommended lately for me to read: Epiphany by Doc. Klein's Labrat: Having discovered new depths to her partner at the Corn Festival, Lois begins to wonder just what she might be missing in this reworking of the episode "Green, Green Glow of Home." How might events have progressed if she'd been a little more in touch with her feelings...and desires? (128K) I'd also like to re-nominate Janet Owen's The Girl Next Door , which has been on my To-Read List for a while: Lois Lane has a secret that dates back to the earliest days of her childhood; a secret she's kept all her life. Now a prize-winning reporter for the prestigious Daily Planet newspaper, her safe but solitary existence is shaken up by the arrival of a disturbingly handsome man. (1013K) Sue S.'s Ricochet for the same reason: Lois switches places with her future self. (216K) Also, I've never read any of Wendy Richards' stories and I hear she's one not to miss. Could someone recommend one of her stories (or collaborations with Tank)? Thanks.

Thanks. What??? A personal favorite of mine (of hers) is "It Happened One (Super) Night" (215KB), that'd be good. But there's literally *tons* more. (Am I misusing literally?) I haven't gotten around to all of them, so if someone wants to just randomly grab another one and throw it up to recommend, I'd love it.

Thanks. Request granted. I read several Wendy & Tank stories about 6 years ago, though didn't remember the names of any of them, but when I saw your request I went in search of one of those stories I read years ago, found one, reread it and enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. So here's my recommedation for you. Better to Have Loved and...Lost? 49Kb "PLANET REPORTER KILLED IN TERRORIST ATTACK" Lois wakes up to find her husband dead, and there to comfort her is... Superman? Is this a nightmare, or is something sinister going on? A multiauthored story by Wendy Richards and Tank Wilson.

Master of Disguise 710Kb by BJ An Elseworld tale. If Clark Kent never arrives in Metropolis and Lois Lane marries Lex Luthor, what will happen when Lois starts to suspect her husband's true nature? And without Lois, will Clark ever create his super disguise? Wasted Revelations 32Kb by BJ Set during "House of Luthor", an in-betweeny that explores what happened between Lex's suicide leap and the meeting in front of the Daily Planet. A holiday ficathon story written for Sue S.

Wendy Richards stories are some of the best I have ever read! Personal favorite: For the Greater Good. Get out your tissues this will have you glued to your seat and crying at the same time.
I agree, Janet Owens, The Girl Next Door is fantastic, excellent reading.

Thanks. Some preferred of mine: 24 Hours - It's a thriller with suspense, action, drama and everything else. "Lois Lane has been poisoned and she and Clark are running out of time to find the antidote. Will Lois live long enough to write her own obituary?" (417Kb) A Conscious Choice - Clark decides to accept Lois's love - as Superman. But everything has consequences. Drama, angst, love and WAFFyness. (167Kb) Faux Pas - "Clark offers his new colleague Lois Lane a bed for the night after she's mugged. It was supposed to be all above board, but one thing leads to another...." (832Kb) Poison - "The day after unknowingly drinking a Kryptonite-laced glass of wine, a feverish Clark staggers into the Daily Planet. A disgruntled Lois takes him back to his apartment and ends up taking care of him... " (203Kb) Whisper from the Dying - multiauthored by Wendy Richards and Kaethel - "What would have happened if Clark had declared his love to Lois before dying in TOGOM (the episode "That Old Gang of Mine")?" (236Kb) Andreia
"My wife's love is what unites Krypton and Earth in my heart. Without it, without her, I truly would be in hell."

I was just noticing, there's a number of the fics that got posted that have an nfic version. Is there a way we might also do a nfic discussion as well?
CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx. JONATHAN: A jinx? CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me. -"Contact" (You're not her jinx, you're her blessing.)

Don't see why you couldn't discuss the nfic versions over in the nfic folder, Christina. LabRat
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

I guess that it'll be 'Mendacity' by Dandello and "The Girl Next Door" by Janet Owens (I looked at the poll results). I will add 'Mendacity" to wiki in both epub and mobi format today.
