Well, here it goes: EVIL Wendy. That said: I loooove this story. It's fantastic. After each Togom rewrite I read, I tell myself: That's the last one, nobody will be able to come up with another version. And what do you do? Post a Togom rewrite that's sooo original and intriguing. Well, I can't wait for the moment Clark does something super and she figures it out. On the other hand, she is now witnessing his grief over her. How he thinks himself guilty. I hope that will assuage her rage(?). Anyways, keep on writing and posting it, please. Of course, I'd prefer a happy ending, but I know I'll be able to live if there isn't one. But only barely. - Sira

All I can say is that if this is what Ms Richards writes when she's *not* officially writing any L&C fic, what might she write when she *is* writing fic again??? Be scared, folcs, be very, very scared... Seriously, Wendy, this is achingly beautiful - yes, it's dreadfully sad, but when 'sad' is written this well, I'm happy. Yvonne (who has total and utter confidence in Wendy's ability to...um...keep us scared?)

Well, I'm hoping that Clark's telepathy can surface so he can communicate with Lois.
Then we just need Mr. Wells to make an appearance to bring Clark back in time to fix this mess.

Very, very gripping - the story pulls you in from the first sentence. I'll be joining the many who are hovering here, anxiously waiting for more, Wendy. In one or two ghost-themed stories I've read in the past (not related to Lois and Clark), strong emotion on the part of the ghost has allowed the ghost to physically manifest, or to be able to touch or move objects... I wonder if Lois's reaction to finding out CK=S would qualify as a strong emotion? Is Ydnew going to make an appearance? ~Toc

Well, my reaction to this is pretty much the same as it was the first time I saw it... but these pieces in particular got me going ; “No! Please god, no! Not her... don’t let her be dead! She can’t be dead...” And then his body shook, and she realised he was sobbing. “Lois... oh, god, Lois!” The words escaped him like a cry. Oh, can't you just hear Clark saying this... you've actually got me feeling sorry for him, and I almost NEVER feel sorry for him... Sara

Ghosts better NOT get haircuts! Not if you don't want this BR to go on strike, stomp her feet, and raise her voice. Great start, Wendy! Everybody said what I wanted to say, so I'll just add a ditto, and please write more soon! But don't forget your other little project either. Kaethel

Holy Crap! Wendy I was pleasantly surprised to see you post today. I am curious as to how you are going to write your way out of this mess<g> without Tanks help! But I have the uttmost (is that how that is spelled?) confidence in you. I am sure either HG Wells will show up to fix this in time or Lois won't really be dead or maybe part of her will have to be cloned or Clark will kill himself with Kryptonite and join her in happily ever after... Whatever, I am sure it will be quite a ride! Laura

Hi Wendy, At last I'm getting round to reading and posting fdk. Another TOGOM rewrite, but with a twist. Great writing, and I'll try to keep in mind that you have a reputation for fixing the broken toys. I'm looking forward to the next part. Yours Jenni

Okay here I am, really me this time. “No! Please god, no! Not her... don’t let her be dead! She can’t be dead...” Ack! Ack! Ack!! This is *SO* sad since I know who this is and what evil lays ahead!! (And when I say evil, I really think you've taken it to a new level. ;P) And now he was alone and, she sensed, at the edge of his control. Ooh! Very nice! (Though, don't get the idea that I'm not still mad at you. ;P) And then moving, moving faster than she ever had in her life before. Turning to Clark. Shoving at him. Pushing him away, down, to the floor. Anything to get him out of the path of the bullet. Oh, God that's so sweet and sad and... Except that he couldn’t see her. Or hear her. Or even feel her. To him, she wasn’t here at all. And it was killing her all over again to see his pain and be unable to do anything to comfort him. Right now, my mind is trying to come up with a hundred different ways of how this could go, and I'm not even attempting to tackle the ressurrection... cause there *is* one... right? I'm coming up with nothing so I'm off to read the next part. Evil. Evil. Wendy ---> Sara --->
