Well I just loved Lois's response to Clark. Very well done. I especially like the Darling Lunkhead at the end. So now we need an epilogue. One where they both face each other after pouring their hearts out in their letters. Well what are you waiting for? Get to it! Don't you know if you give us an inch we will want a yard! Laura

I love it!!! Such a great response to the first story! This was just so . . . Lois . I especially loved this line You tried to apologise for your behaviour before, and I was too… skittish isn’t quite the word I’m after -- it makes me sound like a temperamental horse! Welcome back, Chris! - Laura

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Hi Chris, You already know I loved this story, but I just had to comment in public. It's a lovely response and I so enjoyed watching Lois work through her own insecurities in this letter. Yours Jenni

Wonderful, Chris. Lois evens babbles when she writes . Especially liked the bit about 'distancing" and also the reference to the Godzilla doll trick that Clark pulled on her in S1. c.

Awww! Lovely sequel, Chris! I especially like Lois's honesty about Lex and the way she tells him that his keeping her secrets meant a lot to her. This, too, is very insightful: Me? My instinct has always been to run away from it. For me, love was something to dream about, to watch in romantic dramas and read about in novels. It was an escapist fiction, not something that happened to real people. It didn’t happen to my parents. Their marriage certainly wasn’t a happy-ever-after; it was more like a war zone. It didn’t happen to them, and, to be honest, I never expected it to happen to me.
I don’t think I wanted it to happen to me, either. Oh, sure, I experimented with a few relationships, but look how they all turned out! A college guy who slept with my best friend, a colleague who stole my story, and a sociopathic megalomaniac who… Where to even begin with Lex!
And the more relationships I had, the more they reinforced my view that love and I just weren’t made for each other.
Maybe that’s why it took me so long to fall in love with you. At first I didn’t even realise that was what I was doing. Heck, I had no frame of reference for the feelings I had for you! All I knew was that I liked you and I trusted you, almost instinctively. Welcome back! And may we see lots more from you! Wendy
Just a fly-by! *waves*

I just realised that I haven't said thank you for this feedback, which is very, very rude of me. So... thank you to you all! I don't think that there is anything here I need to comment on, apart from the calls for an epilogue. I won't say yes. But I won't say no, either. After all, I didn't originally intend to write the sequel. Thing is, apart from Lois and Clark saying that they forgive each other and making up, I can't really see what would go into an epilogue, and I don't really feel comfortable about writing pure, unadulterated sap. I'll think about it, but absolutely no promises. Chris

Both letters are so beautiful, and poignant, and funny at the same time, that over the weekend I read them several times. They take my breath away and put a smile on my face. Chris, you truly are a gifted writer. And you portray both Lois and Clark just the way I see them. The way you are able to get into their minds and let them say the exact right words: Awesome! Ursie
Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique. Clark: You certainly are unique.
Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that? Lois: But I'm worth it!

Oh, wow. I didn't expect to get any more feedback for this vignette! Karla, Tricia and Ursie, thank you all so very much. Oh, and Ursie... your comments have brought a smile onto my face, too. Chris
