Mirc costs money? No, it's free, Mona. You just dl and off you go. You will get a message asking you to register, but it's not compulsory. LabRat

Thanks, Deb. I realized earlier though that it costs money, right? I've asked this before but couldn't we also just chat for free on IM? As Labrat said above, just d/l mIRC and go from there. It's free. As for chatting on IM, I'm sure you could do that, too. It's up to you what method you use. Hope to see you soon!

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the #lanekent channel on IRC?
I thought it was my IRC software (Snak) acting up so I found something else (Colloquy). I got into #loisclark no problem but not #lanekent.
I get this error message:
475: #lanekent Cannot join channel (+k)
What gives?

The k stands for keyword (password). My guess is that either the password has changed, or there was no password on lately and now it's back. Anyway, you need the password to get in, which you need for #loisclark at all times. Saskia

The password is back on #lanekent. Chances are 'X' put it back on; X gets persnickety sometimes
