Okay. This is it - maybe for the next 2 weeks. I've spent too much work time working on this, and need to take a hard nosed approach to my doing this and give work my 100%.

I'll work on part 38 this weekend when I get those chances, and like I said, I have the 'plot' worked out for the next few chapters, so I believe in 2 wks, I'll have it together.

If I get a chapter sooner, i'll post it - i'm not a slave to schedules :-)

Happy Happy Joy Joy smile1

They are so cute *sigh* I really, really, really hope that things can develop romantically between them. Lois is a strong, strong woman.

Don't stay away too long Leela..I can't wait to see what happens and besides..we'll all miss you!

~Liz

Lois: Can I go?
Clark: No.
Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go.
Clark: Then why do you ask?
Lois: I’m trying to be nice.

Hi,

Great part thumbsup

Quote
"I'll be glad to drink it. Hey. It's really good you make great coffee!"

"It makes up, you know, for my lousy cooking."

"Oh come on - I find that hard to believe."

She smiled, "You'll have to judge for yourself sometime, but don't say I didn't warn you."

"Any time!"

Did I just suggest we make a date? Did he just accept? "You'd better up your insurance policy."

"Well, that's where invulnerability comes in handy."
thumbsup I like the conversation between them.

Quote
"Okay. Well - thanks for calling. I - I missed you, Lois... and I’m really glad you called."

"I... I missed you too. Maybe we can ... do this again sometime?"

His heart was doing cartwheels. "Anytime, Lois. Any time at all!"
evil Lois invited him for movies and pizza!

More soon, please.

Aww. Clark's right, it is way past time for people to be listening and taking care of Lois. Heck, I would. (PS I don't swing that way, just making a point dance look's like things are heating up...!

Yet another wonderful installment. They may be only taking baby steps towards each other, but there are several baby steps all in a row, with more forwards than backwards. That's good! smile

And this at the end,
Quote
Don't go. "Yes - I’m sure you've got a lot to do. Come to think of it, I do too."

"Okay. Well - thanks for calling. I - I missed you, Lois... and I’m really glad you called."

"I... I missed you too. Maybe we can ... do this again sometime?"

His heart was doing cartwheels. "Anytime, Lois. Any time at all!"
thumbsup Things are definitely looking up. I love this. [Linked Image]

I'm looking forward to the next part.

Actually it's Leela. But I know 2 wks is a long time, but I am going through a hugely busy phase of life. full time job, 2 little girls, and a nearly 40 yo body that requires frequent exercise to keep those pounds off!! Doing my best...

Your enthusiasm, and that of everyone else is extremely motivating.

So... SQD, what about YOUR story that has everyone on edge - shouldn't you post every day?? ;-)

Sorry about that, Leela. I'm having a horrible day typing things! You'd think as much I've written, I could do this, huh?

And I'm working on that WIP. Got to give my beta-reader time to get her work done.

Seriously, I know how RL can whip you into shape. There's a lot of that going on here. We'll be waiting patiently when you have it ready.

Good instalment(s) (I missed commenting on 36).

As others have mentioned they are making those small steps, though Lois has such a long way to go. I can only see her continuing to be tortured by the dicotomy of her fears, thoughts, and desires. She is still one messed up lady. Though I like how she is becoming angered and impatient with Clark for acting so condescending and 'protective' of her feelings. It's clear she angered at herself for the knee jerk reactions also.

With the slow progress in a steady, positive direction, it's about time for one of those nasty wham thingies to come along and 'force' some issues. I think Luthor might be willing to... tyr and kill one or both of our dynamic duo?

Looking forward to more once your schedule permits.

AWWWW Leela this was great! I love their inner thoughts about one another. Can we hope for smoochies soon! Well even if not they have made some great progress. I loved it and hope you write and post very quick! Laura
