Okay, I usually go for a well-developed A-plot, but this is hilarious and I'd love to see where you take it.

Very amusing. And since I'm in the middle of Book of Night with Moon, that makes two stories I'm currently reading from the perspective of a cat. I think you may have dropped or typoed a word in this bit: "He's hot. I've love to meet him." When can we expect part 2?
Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Hi, Cute!
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

Thanks for your comments, everybody! I have a few new sections done for this story, but I'm waiting until I know exactly where I want to go before I post a new part. Shouldn't be long, don't worry. Wendy, I have read the Joe Cat books, although they weren't what gave me the idea (assuming you mean the ones by Shirley Rousseau Murphy). I was reading a book called "Calling On Dragons" by Patricia Wrede. It's third in a series, and the first two are also great books, but only in the third do we get the POV of the witch character who has 9 very sassy, talkative cats. In that fantasy world, all people's cats talk, but usually only the owner can here them. It's not a big deal for Morwen, who's a witch--people sort of expect witches to have talking cats. But I thought it would be funny for Lois to have one and start to think she was going insane. Of course... maybe she is!

Oh, this is amusing! I love cats. And I also have read [I]The Book of Night With Moon[I], so I know what rivka is talking about. Definitely a great character to have talking. I can't wait to see where you go with this.
Don't point. You make holes in the air and the faeries escape.

"Brown lettuce and chocolate ice cream," she told him.
"Ice cream will do."
"You are not getting any of my ice cream. It's for emergencies." Lois couldn't believe that she was still talking to a... talking cat. "Clark?" Lois asked, surprised. "Why?"
"He's hot. I've love to meet him."
"He's WHAT?"
"Hot. Sexy. You know. I'd love to curl up in *his* lap." ROTFL!!!! Too funny!!! "Okay!" the cat said. "That's fine. There's a phone out here unattended, so if I get bored I can just call Clark and pretend to be you. You do call him 'Clarkie,' right?" She leaped onto the couch and reached over the arm towards the phone. LOL!!!! "Clarkie" <G> Then she curled up next to her face. Lois was about to shove her away when she realized how comforting her soft purr was.
All right, she could stay there. But just for the night. Awww!! Very cute and funny, Sarah! Now where's the rest? Sara
