Pel, once again, it's awesome. Fantastic. Since I haven't read the story yet, I obviously can't say that it fits the mood, but I'm sure that it does. It looks perfect. And to you, Wendy, consider yourself nagged. In the Bleak Mid-Winter is my very favourite Christmas carol, so I can't wait to see what you do with a story with that title. Is this going straight to the Archive or on the boards, because there aren't very many days until Christmas left... EDIT: OK, I've just watched it again, and I saw that lcfanfic.com is listed, so I assume that means it'll be uploaded next weekend?? Kathy

I am working on other trailers as well, but this one got pushed forward a bit since the author and I thought it would be pretty cool to make a COMING SOON-trailer... And, of course, I'm glad I managed to make one for a Christmas-fic before it was too late. And a huge thank-you goes to Kaylle, whom I spent *many* hours with on IRC the night I was trying to work this out, but *one* clip that lasted about two seconds drove me nuts, and she helped me edit it! So, thanks, Kaylle!! And one more thing I figured out... There's a *HUGE* perk when it comes to making trailers: sometimes you even get to read stories *before* they are posted!! And guys, this is a SPECTACULAR one!! The story isn't very long, so I only meant for this to be a "teaser", but it just kept growing and growing into a very small trailer or a veeery long teaser. Pelican
Such a little thing really, a kiss...most people don't give it a moment's consideration. They kiss on meeting, they kiss on parting, that simple touching of flesh is taken entirely for granted as a basic human right.

Oooh. A coming-soon trailer. And awesome, as always, Pel! It was a tad jittery on this computer, but it may be because of everything I have running. I'll have to watch it again on my other computer. And this trailer makes me want to read the story.
Oooooh, Wendy! nagnagnagnagnagnagnag Where'd those shears go....

Beautiful, Pel! You set up a very bleak beginning, indeed, but then... all of a sudden there's hope and life and the music changes and we're off!
Intriguing, Wendy! <g> Post now!
And that clip where Wells says "are you ready?" cracks me up every time through.

Wonderful, Pel! This truly is a trailer, and a great teaser to boot as now I can't wait to read the actual story.
From what I know about Wendy's story, the music and clips you've selected are perfect. I can't wait to see what Wendy has planned for poor AltClark and his holiday <g>.
Keep them coming - I love to see every one and am diligently downloading them for safekeeping!
Great job, Lynn

Hooray! A new trailer! Wonderful as always. And I love that song, absolutely love it, so it was great to see it used in this context. I can't wait to read the story now. I love Alt-Clark. Annie PS What's next? You are working on a new trailer, right? <G>

Pel, this is so much fun! I love it! It starts off all sad and angsty, and then the music gets happy and we know everything's going to be okay And I'm so impressed how quickly and well you put these together! With results like this, I'm happy to help you anytime! And Wendy, now that this is done you know you have no excuse to withhold the story... Great job, Pel! Kaylle

Great job, Pel!!! (as if there was any doubt) I have to say I always thought the part where altClark tells Clark that he's the luckiest person alive, and Clark replies, "I know," was mean. It's like rubbing it in. (just my reflections) Wendy! Now you have to hurry because we won't lay off! Julie

I have to say I always thought the part where altClark tells Clark that he's the luckiest person alive, and Clark replies, "I know," was mean. It's like rubbing it in. Although I can see where you're coming from, I'm going to have to disagree. I always thought it was the best thing he could say in this situation. After all, wouldn't it have been a worse slap in the face to Alt-Clark if Clark would have blown it off, taking everything for granted? "Eh, some days are better than others" or similar. By saying "I know" he's telling Alt-Clark that he appreciates what he has and is truly thankful for it. The sad note in his voice says he is imagining how painful it must be for Alt-Clark to watch from the outside, and that he wishes Alt-Clark could have what he has, too. But he tried to keep it short so as not to rub his face in it. He could have said. "Yeah, I know. I mean, I can't imagine how much my life would suck if I was you and you were me." <G> Annie

Yay I guess Kaylle helped you figure how to cut that one scene up. Great job Pel. So how did you get the WMV file to work? what editing program did you end up using? Laura

LOL! I love it!! How totally, incredibly fun, Pel!
And just to rub everyone's nose in it, I have read the story and I think this trailer is just brilliant in capturing the mood! ROTFL, this is just too fun.
I can't even tell you how much I'm enjoying these things, Pel! You definitely are developing your own huge fan base!

Chiming in now to say a huge THANK YOU to Pel. You are such a star!!!! Thank you so very, very much for doing this! As for the story... well, it's coming up on the archive this weekend, but I am also planning to post it on the boards this week. So keep an eye out in the fanfic folder! Incidentally, I wasn't planning to write a Christmas story this year. And I said so too - I was at Yvonne's place a few weeks ago and we were discussing future writing ideas; I said that I had no intention of writing a Christmas story this year because I felt that I'd done 'Lois hates Christmas' to death, and since I prefer to write pre-relationship or on-the-cusp-of-relationship Christmas stories, that was really all I could do - after all, it wasn't as if I could write Clark-hates-Christmas for a change, was it? And then... the penny dropped, bit by bit, and the idea which became In The Bleak Mid-Winter just stuck in my brain and refused to go away. And, yes, guys, it's Alt-Clark. Wendy (just hoping that everyone isn't going to be disappointed with the story now that they've seen Pel's absolutely stunning trailer! )
Just a fly-by! *waves*

Absolutely amazing, Pel! It looks so wonderful. I even tried to see it at work. But I found out I have to download some stuff first and I didn't have time for that yet. I see you solved your problem in quite a nice way. Ready for more trailers when you are, Pel! Saskia
