That was a cute story. I like revelation stories. I think this one needs to be continued.

Like I said earlier, I like this story. I like Clark's lame attempt at an excuse, and Lois' scepticism. And then the last line is great.
"You need me. You wouldn't be much of a hero without a villain. And you do love being the hero, don't you. The cheering children, the swooning women, you love it so much, it's made you my most reliable accomplice." -- Lex Luthor to Superman, Question Authority, Justice League Unlimited

Hi, Cute!
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

Anna, that was great! I love how we see Lois's suspicion grow through Clark's eyes. From innocent to dangerous in 6.7 seconds His excuse is priceless. "I had an accident, and I was unconscious for three days, but I'm fine now, and look... not a scratch on me!" Now... where's that sequel? Dave (Who thinks if we push, we might get 2 pages )

hehe, a fun, cute short story! I love the pace that the present tense moves at! It was so cute how he couldn't stick to his story... he covers up his tracks all the time, but he couldn't actually continue to lie when she told him she knew that wasn't the truth. He is too moral... and too in love Too Clark! Anyway, a sequel would be fun... she could really mess with him ~NICOLE

Lots of fun, Anna. Really liked the use of the first person - Clark's hospital excuse was so bad. Also really liked the quick, brief jump to Lois's POV at the end. c

Wow, look at all this feedback! Thank you so much, FoLCs!! To those requesting a sequel... it is very likely that you get one. I promise nothing, though - school starts on Monday... Thanks again! See ya, AnnaBtG.

I loved how you just start up this conversation out of the blue (except we've seen the show!) and it works. It doesn't matter that there's nothing before it, and nothing after it. It just works.

Revelation stories are my favourite type.
I agree with the previous post - it sits well on it's own. I like how I feel like I'm jumping into something and then leaving it. Oh, how I want more.
Hmmmm, anything else in the works???!!!!!!!
I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Hi Anna, Your fic rec on Discord triggered this archeological expedition There's nothing inquisitive in her voice. More like good-natured curiosity. After all, I'm her partner, and I *did* disappear for three days, while we were in the midst of a story, without even letting my parents know. /points at the superman-shaped indentation on Lois’s sofa/ But he was right *there*. I gesture around very lamely. Her expression has hardened; she has realized that I'm trying to keep something from her. And she doesn't seem to like this concept at all. He’s indeed on dangerous terrain here. "See, I was… I had an accident," I invent wildly. "Friday morning. On my way here. They took me to the hospital. I was just discharged yesterday evening." Nurse Mayson nursed him back to life? "I wish I could tell you," I blurt out. How smooth of me. He’s a secret agent! "Okay, so why can't you?" I hear an alarm go off, and voices. 'Fire! Fire!' I'm saved. Or, I'm dead meat. Or both. "I have to go," I say. Yeah, that’s gonna go over well… we're in the middle of a conversation and suddenly he's running off like he's Superman to the rescue or something… …Wait a minute, what did I just say? Oops? So, does Lois need to buy him one or both of the following books: "Lying...for Dummies" "Secret identifies...for Dummies" Hey! /peeks/ Oh, right. See you in the sequel! Michael
