I know, I know. You all thought I was long gone, sucked into the world of CSI, never to return to LnC. Oh, but I do not so easily forget my friends. And I return from my long absence with a gift. smile

But first, a story:

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, I heard the most amazing song. It told the story of Lois and Clark saying goodbye before he left for New Krypton so clearly that I rushed out to buy the cd and examine the liner notes for an indication that the song was indeed inspired by the show. Alas, I could find no proof, but I have yet to be fully convinced otherwise.

Years passed, and though I made everyone I knew listen to the song and longed to make a music video to show them just what I was imagining when I heard it, it was impossible due to my lack of knowledge and computer software. Instead, I wrote a story Standing at the Edge and my New Krypton series was born.

Still more years passed. Then one day I bought a new laptop, which came with Windows Movie Maker, and quickly became addicted to making CSI music videos.

Then suddenly one day it struck me: I could finally make that video I'd been thinking about for years.

So, my friends, here is my happily ever after. I can't begin to tell you how nice it is to finally make the video and see on the screen what I've been seeing in my head for years. I hope you all enjoy it half as much as I do. smile

Standing At The Edge

The video is only available in Windows Media Player format. I have no idea how to convert to Real Player. Sorry.

Special, huge thanks to Tracey and Anna who generously supplied me with the clips I needed to make the video. Without them, there would be no happily ever after.

Annie

Great job, Annie! You told me last night you were working on a video, but I didn't realize it would be this one. Hey, you kind of did your own fanfic trailer, in a round about way, at least. <g>

I really liked this ... the NK scenes were very poignant, but I especially liked the end, where you created the montage of all the wonderful S4 scenes. What a great idea; it fit so well with both the music and the story being told in the video.

Thanks for sharing! I hope we see more L&C videos from you. smile

Annie, this video was . . . oh gosh, I am speechless. Amazing. It was amazing. Not only were the images in the video great to go along with the song, I could also see your story playing in my mind at the same time.

I've been eagerly waiting to see this ever since you told me about it the other day! laugh And then today when I saw it posted, but was at work, I was upset that I couldn't watch it immediately. But the wait was definitely worth it!!

Did I say I really liked the video? Oh I did. But I really, really like it, so I can say it more than once.

Annie, how nice to see you back with us again. smile1

I've dl this one, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I might have the same problem of being unable to play it, but if I can I'll be back later with proper comments. Just wanted to register a 'welcome home' for now. smile

Nice job Annie, very sad, I never heard that song before. The video has a good quality also. What did you use? Laura
