Watch out... Kae and I are monopolizing this folder. The Butterfly Legacy quickly became one of my all-time favorite fics. While it may have been a bit of a challenge to complete a certain part of the trailer, I enjoyed making it immensely. I have to thank Lynn for giving me a few pictures and for sharing her inspiration for Gillian with me. This trailer wouldn't be half of what it is without her! Well, heck, this trailer wouldn't exist at all without her having written a tremendously wonderful story in the first place!! But the pictures she gave me made a world of difference. Thank you, Lynn!!! A very special thanks goes out to Pel... she knows why. And without futher ado... The Butterfly Legacy Sara

Oh, wow, Sara! Wow! You caught the tone perfectly for such a wonderfully poignant story. Beautiful haunting music - don't recognise it, what was it? <happy sigh> LabRat (who just loves being part of such a talented fandom)
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Lois: Can I go? Clark: No. Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know Iβm going to go. Clark: Then why do you ask? Lois: Iβm trying to be nice.

- I'm your partner. I'm your friend. - Is that what we are? - Oh, you know what? I don't know what we are. We kiss and then we never talk about it. We nearly die frozen in each other's arms, but we never talk about it, so no, I got no clue what we are.

Beautiful, Sara. Lovely music, great graphics. Loved the shot of Gillian -- her pose is perfect. She's on her way, challenging "Sam" to follow her... to be with her.
Anyway, this is great.

I've read the story just recently and the trailer completely matches my mood and impression of the Butterfly Legacy. Having used a quiet and pensive piece of instrumental sounds was a great idea and probably the perfect match for this!
And I'm curious too about the music .. where's this from?

Apologies, Sara, that I'm just now seeing this. My excuse is that I've had a house-full of FoLCs running rampant this past week *g*. But...Well, what can I say. This trailer is just amazing. The first time I saw it I got all weepy - really, tears in my eyes and a big lump in my throat Thank you so much for taking the time to make something so beautiful. I just love it. (And I'm sending this link to my mom so she can see it. And my dad. And my Aunt Lois (yes, I have one) and my brother... ) Thank you thank you thank you thank you!! Lynn

Lab, Jen, Liz, Kae, Pam, Rach, Bettina, and Lynn... thank you all SO much for your comments!!!! To answer the question that's been buring on a few minds... the song is "Wither, I'm a Flower" by Whiskeytown. Not a song that I'd have picked up on my own... something that came on the "Hope Floats" soundtrack, an album that I've really come to love. Thank you all SO much!!! I'm really glad that you liked this. I think it's become one of my favorites as well (if I'm allowed to do that ). Lynn - Thank you again for writing such a wonderful and angsty and tremendous and superb and I'm going to run out of adjectives here... really *great* story, for which I was *honored* to have made the trailer for. And it only makes me more proud to have done it because you loved it so much. To say that it brought you to tears and that it was just what you imagined when you were writing it... you have no idea how much that means to me!!! I'm over the moon, really. So, thank you, Lynn!!!! And thank you everyone for your wonderful comments!!! Sara
