There are some older stories on the Archive that are simply classics, which have withstood the test of time and FoLCs love to re-read them over and over. Chris Mulder's Love Beyond All Measure, which I did a trailer for a couple of weeks ago, is one of them. Sheila Harper's A Shot In The Dark is another - if you haven't read it, I recommend running to catch up! And so I'm delighted to present a trailer for this story - as far as I know, the first trailer for any of Sheila's stories. A Shot In The Dark WMV RP Edited to add a huge thanks!! to the gang on IRC late Friday night who were patient with my continuing requests for help with finding clips. Julie, Erica and Tricia, you were a huge help and I owe you one. Wendy

Nice job wendy. It is interesting how you use the scenes from the show to fit the story so well. Laura

Oh wow, Wendy! You really captured the mood of the story, and made me want to read it again. Great inspirational music and fantastic effect with the gunshots and Clark screaming Lois's name! Brilliant! Kaethel

I love trailers for classic old stories. P.S. There's a RealVideo version available here .

Nice! I liked the music, and the interspersing of the restaurant clips with the guy getting ready to shoot. Excellent choice of clips, both video and audio. I am sure I'm pretty familiar with the story--read it several times--but I have to put it back on my reread list. The trailer reminded me how good it is. Good job, and thanks for another great trailer!

Lois: Can I go? Clark: No. Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go. Clark: Then why do you ask? Lois: I’m trying to be nice.

Wow, Wendy! When you sent me the heads-up about the trailer, I didn't expect something like this. I loved the intercut scenes between the restaurant scene and the roof-top shooter. The echoing gunshots and shots of L&C at the hospital were very effective. Heck, after I finished watching the video, even I wanted to re-read my story.
Thank you so much. I was surprised and delighted by the video and also by the kind comments of the people in this thread who have read ASitD. I'm glad you guys remember my story fondly.

Lovely, Wendy. This perfectly caught the atmosphere of one of my favourite old-time hurt/comfort stories. <snuffle> LabRat

Wendy! How on earth... whoa... let me just say that my jaw dropped at the beginning clips. You could not have done that better because that's almost precisely the image I've had in my head everytime I've read the story! That blew me away, Wendy! The titles were oh so sad and the voice overs were a good choice. Did I mention I really loved the shooting part you set up? Sara Two trailers down... no clue how many to go because Wendy (among others) were crazy busy while I was gone ;P)

Ok, I said I wasn't going to watch trailers because I don't read fan fiction. But it's a form of art and ok *stops lying* I'm bored. <G> I won't read the story but Wendy you have my mind spinning with "what if" LOL I'd go see the movie <G>... It was very nicely done with great music transitions. Awesome job! Jen (who is on to watch more)
