This is a trailer for one of my favorite ML Thompson stories, The People v. Clark Kent. The music on the base track is Niveneh by ES Posthumus. I hope you all enjoy: http://www.folcvideo.com/trailer/ThePeoplevClarkKent.wmv

Oh wow. An excellent trailer for an excellent fic - I have to commend your choice as well as your talent! The choice of music was superb - it created the perfect atmosphere. And the beats at the end were amazing. Excellent work Diane David (who's running off to watch that again!)

Wow!! I'd been wondering whether there was a way to do this story, and you cracked it, Diane! You even managed to hint at the part I'd have had most trouble showing - the powers issue. Excellent!! Just one tiny nitpick, though: I find red on black quite difficult to read, especially with a small cursive text, so I had to concentrate really hard to read some of your title cards. The red seems to 'bleed' into the black and the text becomes fuzzy. Otherwise, terrific trailer! Again, wonderful choice of music, too. You're so darned talented at this! Wendy

When I stopped by to see what was going on and saw the title of this thread, I was tickled pink. Of course, it did take me a moment to get past: "'The People v. Clark Kent' why does that name seem so familiar to me?" Anyway, once I remembered that I'd once written a story by that name, I watched the video. And, Diane, I loved it. I really enjoy the way it started with their wedding before dealing with Lois' shooting. The music was perfect - as were the clips. And I loved the ending. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You have definitely made my day.

Wow. Wonderful trailer. Very good choice of music and clips. That video just bring us into the story. Very very well done. I love it.
What is that music ? I hear it before, but I don't remember where, or when.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all sooo much for the lovely feedback And ML, I'm *ecstatic* that you liked this so much! Poussin and others, the song, as I mentioned, is Niveneh, by E.S. Posthumus. E.S. work is used in tons of trailers (I believe over 50 now), and it's licensed by most major studios. Niveneh was used in a Spider-Man 1 trailer in 2002, which might be where you heard it before.

Two words for you, Diane: IN-TENSE!!! You see what happens when you go on vacation... people take your vague ideas right out from under you. But I'm definitely impressed with what you've created!!! LOVE the music you chose! It couldn't have been better! Great job, Diane!! You really have a talent for this trailer making!! Sara

Lois: Can I go? Clark: No. Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know Iโm going to go. Clark: Then why do you ask? Lois: Iโm trying to be nice.

Loved the intensity! The music was powerful and the clips used really told the story--I think--I forget the story! It's going on my reread list right NOW.
I have to second Wendy--found some of the cards slightly difficult to read with the cursive (didn't recognize the word "answer" for a good couple of seconds)--the color was OK for me, though.
And a marvelous finish! The beats and the big choral sound really added the perfect amount of drama. Great job on this one!

Wow! Absolutely loved the ending clips ("..to the grave" and the significance of the sun).
If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Thank you! I agree the cursive, especially with red on black, gets easily mucked up. I'll be more mindful of that in the future

Awesome, Diane! The match of clips to music was perfectly done and, again, I'm reminded of how much I enjoyed ML's story after watching this. LabRat
