Help, Anna! Who is the figure on the left in Sara's choice of new avatar? Lenny Stokes from "Wall of Sound"? I didn't think Clark was on the ledge in that one. Frankly, I thought it was somebody in a conga outfit. Although a bare-midriff Clark would be great eye candy. Artemis

It's Clark standing on the ledge. The two pics are from the same scene. ~Anna

Hmmm. It needs to be brighter or something. It's just confusing in a small image like that. My preference would be to leave it out. But hey, that's my old eyes. Anyway, great avatars. As you can see, I've used one of yours! Artemis Whoo-ya testing

Lolly, Labby has posted a very helpful tutorial on how to use a custom avatar in the 'How To' section. It's stickied to the top of that forum. To find the URL for one of mine above, right click on it and choose 'properties.' Then copy the URL and follow Labby's instructions from there. I hope that helps and I'm glad you like them! ~Anna

You know, I saw Lolly's question earlier, but didn't have time to set out instructions for her. So was hoping someone else would have answered her meantime. Had a vague idea that there might be instructions already posted somewhere, but had completely forgotten I wrote them! Thanks for the reminder, Anna. LabRat

LOL, don't worry, Lolly - no question is too dumb here. We've all been there. Personally, I have the technological capacity of a wombat with a lobotomy. The first time I tried choosing an avatar, I kept forgetting to update profile at the end, so naturally enough none of the changes I made 'took'. Took me days to figure out where I was going wrong. Okay, what you do is: Choose the avatar you want to use. Put the pointer of your mouse over it. Right-click, then click on 'properties'. You see that bit that starts 'http'? That's the url (the location on the internet where you can find it) of the avatar. Copy that. (Just do the same thing - pointer, highlight the url, right-click, choose 'copy') When you get to the bit in the profile that requires to you put something into the url section - just click on the box there, rightclick and choose 'paste' (or you can hold down ctrl and v on your keyboard at the same time and that will do the same thing) and the http url should appear in the box. If you hit any other glitches, just ask! LabRat

I hope you can get it working, Lolly. Let me or Labby or somebody know if you still have questions. The big thing on LiveJournal right now is 100 icon challenge communities. Basically you claim a subject and have a certain amount of time to make 100 icons, some of which have to follow certain themes. I've claimed Lois & Clark at icons100 so I have 10 weeks to make 100 LnC icons. The first 50 icons are up at followtomorrow (my icon journal) and since it would take about 7 posts to put them all here, I'll just link you to that page. You can post comments about them here or there. If you don't have an LJ account, you can post anonymously there, but please put your name or nick in your comment so I know who you are. To the icons! ~Anna
