Not really, but thankfully the link leads to a page that is no longer found.

DOES ANYONE LIKE IT?!?!?!?!?! [Frown] [Mad] Is this the cape photo with Clark and Lois sporting the goth/punk/grunge look? If so and it's the one I'm thinking of, then I do have to say that it wasn't to my tastes. But then I'm an old fogie, so what do I know? (As can probably be figured out by the fact that I'm not even sure what 'yoof culture' <g> category it comes under. Please don't get mad if feedback is light. It's disappointing, I know, but it could be for a host of reasons. Not all of them connected with whether fans liked it or not. The boards have been quiet generally lately with it being the summer vacation season and feedback is light on a lot of threads. It could be that your photo was missed by those who may have been interested in it because you posted it in the LNC folder rather than here in FoLC productions. I think LNC is a less-visited folder than FP. Or it could simply be that tastes differ and that you won't find as many fans on this forum who enjoy the grunge/punk/goth category than you might on other forums out there. Who knows? We can't all like the same things. If you don't get the feedback you want here, why not post the photo on other forums out there, too? You might get more results. There's bound to be more than you who appreciates the look out there. The net is a big place. LabRat

Well I'm sorry if i dissapointed any one with this picture and no the cape photo does not support the goth/punk/grunge look.I'm just a big fan of L&c who was bored one day cause i had already made a few L&C blends (like this one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v625/risssa/Blends/nbfjsbfsjhdfsd.jpg ) And had nothing to do so I started playing around with the cape pic and ended up making it "hard core"

Hey, no insult intended with my description. Like I said, I'm not up on current terms. If you tell us what the look is called, I'll certainly use that term. Something else you might want to consider when it comes to low feedback on this thread - I think you might also be unintentionally misleading people with your use of the word 'hardcore'. To many, that's a term associated with a sexual content or porn. And that certainly doesn't have anything to do with your picture, which I'd say comes well into the territory of a G rating. I know that we had at least one member of the mbs say they hadn't dared to click on the link because they assumed they'd see something sexual when they read the picture was 'hardcore', so it's possible others haven't checked it out for the same reasons. As for disappointing people - well, you can't please everyone all the time. The first photo you posted just may not suit the tastes of many on these mbs. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it per se or that you've done anything wrong by posting it. So don't get discouraged or give up. If it's not in tune with majority tastes on this forum, there'll be another one somewhere that it does match. I have to add that I did really like the second photo. Beautiful blending and the colours are lovely. Also like the way that the S shield is superimposed on the other images, very ethereal and subtle. If you have any more like that on your hd, I'd love to see them. LabRat

really?! Hard core means something about sex? Sorry I didn't know that I've gone on other message boards like band ones and they refer to hardcore as being like punk and "bad *** " sorry I didn't mean it as any thing sexual

It's funny, but one of the definitions on dictionary.com says: often hard·core (härdkôr, -kr) A form of exceptionally harsh punk rock. But like Lab, I immediately thought of porn. For me the terms "soft core" and "hard core" related to a level of sexual explicitness, so when I saw this thread, I figured the image would be of something of a sexual nature. I guess I'm an old fogie like Lab. Lynn

I also immediately thought "pornographic picture" when I saw "hardcore." In the context of a picture, I thought hardcore = porn. In the context of saying "that person's really hardcore about BME," I'd mean they are really dedicated. So I'm fairly young (well, not that young, 24), and I immediately thought porn, too.

I must admit, I also made the link to pornography. But maybe that's just because of my dirty mind

Until I entered the corporate world I was often described as being punk and even I though of porn when I first saw the word, but immediately thought of many other things. I must admit, I also made the link to pornography. But maybe that's just because of my dirty mind It's not my cup of tea, but I appreciate the fact that pple are doing stuff. Oh well, I had some postive and negitive reaction towards a vid I did b/c of the music I used, but hey I actually did something It was described as being too 'punkish'. LOL. All the best and I hope to see more from you and everyone!!!!
I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.

Yes, when I read "hardcore" I thought porn. But then it should be in nfic, nes pas? The trends change too fast for me to be current. No, I don't care for the goth look on Dean & Teri. I can't think of them as Lois and Clark despite the cape. One question though: how does Superman get a pierced lip? Or a tattoo? A lot of Kryptonite? Actually we debated that topic at LAFF 2005 when Lois dragged Clark to the "dermal artiste" and promised to let her tattoo the Battle of Midway on his chest if she revealed her customer's name! But then it should be in nfic, nes pas? This was actually why I originally clicked on the link. When I saw the post I felt obliged to, as an admin, to check if it was outwith the ratings limit for this forum and needed to be removed. So I was surprised when it turned out to be so tame. <g> (And relieved I didn't have to do anything with it. ) LabRat (who's all for less work for admins )
