Well, Windows Movie Maker beckoned again, and this time for a story I've loved ever since I was privileged enough to be beta-reader for it a long time ago. Learning Curves is, in my view, one of Chris Carr's best stories - I love the image she portrays of Clark trying to find out who he is in a world where some people already know more about him than he does. And it contains one of my favourite revelations of all times. thumbsup

So here's the trailer:

Learning Curves Windows Media Player version.

Hope you enjoy!

Ooo, neat vid, Wendy! That's a story that's been on my "to read" list for forever (I think I was waiting to see if there was going to be a third part) and now I want to go read it. smile

Thanks for sharing!

Very nicely done, Wendy! Lots of dramatic tension in this video.

Good job!

from the Are You Lonesome Tonight trailer fdk...

Here's hoping you get hit by more the urge to make more trailers!
Clearly you've been attacked here, Wendy. Or maybe it's... What CC says is supreme law?

Just one question... is this contagious? Because I'd love to make more, but I've got a lot of homework... goofy

Anyway, it was really neat to see all the scenes of people "wanting a piece of Clark" all together like that. It really built up an ominous feeling. And then the "Answers he doesn't even have..." How sad!!! mecry

And... frown It appears his parents are alive... how does he... did they... I don't even know what I'm trying to ask.

I'll just sum it up (since we're here about the trailer, not the fic itself wink ) to say that you created a real mood of intrigue, suspense, hurt, confusion... basically - Poor Clark!!!

Sara (who is just going to his "Add Reply" before she reads back and realizes how goofy she just sounded blush )

Really nice, Wendy! Such a great fit to the story. You have a deft touch with these, definitely.

And now...

... since you appear to be on a roll. And since Sara said:

I thought, just by way of making conversation, of course, I might ask: does Heaven's Prisoners have a trailer? Does Fugue? And you know what's crying out for one...? Again, just for the sake of conversation? Tank's Futures series.

Just thought I'd mention.

And you do such lovely work.

And so fast!

<insert innocent whistling here>

CC- a big, big fan sloppy

You mean we're supposed to have lives?

Oh crap!

Sorry I'm a little late coming back here! blush

Thank you all so very much for your kind words about this trailer. I'm especially delighted that some of you now want to read the story for the first time, or read it again. Do! It's a really excellent story, full of tension and drama and romance and insights into how it feels to be different and not know who you are or where you come from. And it contains one of my very favourite revelations of all time. wink

CC, thank you for the encouragement. wink You saw that I did take one of your hints! And, Sara, you might think you sounded goofy, but I took your post as a huge compliment. hail So thank you!
