Hi all! I'm relatively new to this board. I've been lurking here for a few months, though, and when I saw all these impressive videos, it kind of made me want to try one for myself. I've never (ever!) created a video before, and it was a really challenge to learn about DVD ripping and dealing with Windows Movie Maker, but here's my first effort, "How to Save a Life," with music by The Fray. (I've been trying to complete a fic forever and thought maybe this would help work past the writer's block.) This is a story told from Lois's point of view in "That Old Gang of Mine." I'm completely new to the fandom, but from what I've gathered, this episode is pretty often revisited, and I hate to be derivative, but it's just such a great episode. Anyway, thanks! Wow! Your first vid? Excellent job!
Favorite parts:
"Step one you say we need to talk..." That was a super match for the scenes you picked, especially with Lois sitting down on the bench in time for "... You sit down, it's just a talk."
"As he goes left and you stay right..." Again, great match!
"Let him know that you know best, after all, you do know best"--so Lois!
Every match for "I would have stayed up with you all night". Love!
I hope we'll see more from you in the future. Welcome to the fandom! This is definitely a great way to introduce yourself.

Nora,
Yes, please, upload it to the archive and do it SOON! I can only download vids at work since I have a superslow dial-up at home and my &*^%$ firewall here blocks the site you have the video stored on.
Grrrrrrr.
Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.
Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right. Ides of Metropolis

Thank you all very much for your kind words and welcome. I'm glad that you enjoyed my (admittedly choppy) first effort. (Windows Movie Maker is a harsh mistress. ) Thanks, C_A, for the comments; I just absolutely love your Chevaliers de Sangreal video, so your nice words mean a lot. As for uploading it to the archive, it's kind of a humungous (30 MB) file that exceeds the site's requested limit. Maybe I should e-mail, though, as they suggest for large files?

Ummm no, that was NOT choppy. I finally bit the bullet and just downloaded it and forgot about it for a while so it could download. Why do I torture myself so with TOGOM. Anyway, I loved it. Jen

Great video! I agree with everyone else - an impressive first video! The Fray is a wonderful band - everyone should run out and buy their CD if you don't already have it.
You can find my stories as Groobie on the nfic archives and Susan Young on the gfic archives. In other words, you know me as Groobie.

I was just thinking this would be an awesome L&C video. Wow if this is your first I can't wait to see what you have next! I love the concept of the video, truly amazing. And I love when Lois punches Trask then you flash to the shooting of Clark scene. Loved it. More soon! ~Lois Lane Wanna Be

I can't download it cause it says I have reached the download limit. I'm not familiar with Rapid Share. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

Please upload it to the archive. I never can get that site to work. No matter how long I wait, I never get to see anything...and I adore that song so I can't wait to see what you've done with it.

The file has been deleted?

I can't download it because it says the file has been deleted. Try asking one of the folks how they do it so the file is actually posted here instead of being hosted.
