Miles away from perfection... I need to start working more seriously on this sort of stuff, cause I'm losing my touch. I'll let you imagine what could have been going on for this scene to happen. Have fun! Merry Christmas everyone!! Note: before you all get super excited on how amazing this is... I didn't model the figures! I used pre-existing 3D obects (people, clothing, hair). I only have half the merit here; the people who made the objects worked a heck of a lot harder than I did...

Ooooh. You know...I sense a fanfic in there somewhere. Cool, Lara. LabRat
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Well, you know... I was just thinking about starting a challenge (or two) of the sort -- I post an image, someone writes the story. I've done that with some friends before and, if nothing else, we've had some good laughs.

Well... if anyone writes a story to go with the image, do let me know so I can read it. hehe! Too bad this doesn't fit the story I'm writing... maybe I'll make another image to match that.

oooh... that's a compicated question to answer, actually. It's 3D work... You'd think I'd know how to explain, I've been working in the 3D industry for several years, but it's a difficult concept to explain.
I use an application which is called Poser. You can import figures inside it - like people and clothing and other objects - and then you can pose them in the scene. They are three-dimensional - they have height, length and width, like a real person or thing would.
Maybe I should post a little image that shows all the steps? from when I put the people and then the clothing and textures and everyting... and all the way to the final image.

If you would I would appreciate it. I am interested in learning something new! Do not feel obligated to do so though.
Thanks, Judy

I don't think anyone ever wrote a fic that was inspired by this image -- I'm honored that you think this is worthy of a fic, even! <3 So, yeah - go right ahead! In fact, you know? I've got the worst cold *ever* right now (I wish I was kidding, but I'm not) and I think a fic would definitely help me feel better... *puppy dog eyes*

That is really amazing, Lara! I, too, am glad that Laura resurrected the thread because I never would have seen this otherwise. It's very impressive, and I also was interested to read your (2007-era) explanation of how you created this. Neat stuff.
