Well, I know I haven't done this in a while, but I had some spare time over the weekend and was really in the mood to fiddle with movie maker. Yay for vacations! This is a trailer for Jenni Debbage's very haunting story, The Forgotten, which was recently posted to the message boards. It was certainly a challenge to come up with clips for -- I hope I did the story justice despite my rustiness at this The song is "Awake Inside a Dream" by Mysteria. http://www.folcvideo.com/trailer/TheForgotten.wmv

Whoa is right! I couldn't have even begun to think of clips for this wonderful story, but these are great. And the tone of the whole thing is spot on. Fabulous trailer, Aria.

Hi Aria, I just got back from a New Year trip and was very pleased and amazed to see you'd created a trailer for The Forgotten. You did my story justice, indeed! I really thought it would be impossible to make a trailer for The Forgotten, but you definitely pulled it off... and the music was hauntingly in tune with the story. Thank you for doing this, Aria. Yours Jenni

If you haven't read this story, I recommend: do it. It's definitely a worthy reading. Awesome story.

Wow! That was really great. I haven't read The Forgotten yet, and now I have to. Maybe right now! But did you make Ching Clark's son, or did I miss something?
Wonderful!!

Hi, Interesting point Classicalla. I'm not sure about Ching being Clark's son. He is the only other male Kryptonian who would be sort of suitable, I guess. The others were old or bullies. Or she could be referring to the fact that Matthew was brought to Earth by the New Kryptonians in the prequel to this story. Perhaps Aria might let us know. Yours Jenni

Thanks, I'm glad y'all enjoyed it Yeah, I meant to portray Ching as Clark's son in this. I thought the actor playing Ching seemed to be youngish enough that it might work, plus he had the black suit on. The whole sequence was supposed to be... He wants to wear the black suit, Martha sews on the S, he comes out to show off. It was the only way I could think of to emote it. Originally, I had a full pan of Clark in the black suit, face shot and everything, and cross-faded to Ching, but my friend who 'test' watched it for me said it was really confusing that way. Suffice it to say... super children are hard to show using only clips from the show ;p

Hi Aria, Yes, showing Ching with the black suit and then Martha with the S shield and then panning up Clark's body without waiting till the head showed makes perfect sense. Believe me, I'm amazed that you managed to make a trailer for a story so far in the future... and such a good one! Thanks again for taking time to do this, and I'm glad you had a little fun too. Yours Jenni

I haven't had time to read the story yet, but your trailer definitely made me wish that I could make time somehow!
