Someone *ahum* thought this fell into the impossible-to-vid category. As I said on my LJ: after doing this thing, impossible is no longer in my vocabulary. So, Paul, this is for you. Bohemian Rhapsody (note that this is a 25 meg file... and a 6 minute-long song!) YouTube version I'm actually really proud of how this turned out -- way better than I hoped. Don't look for a story here, 'cause there is none, but I can promise quite a few giggles - and a few moments that are a little more touching. Hey, I went with the lyrics, you know. HUGE thank you's to Jana and Jessi who offered help, suggestions and support while I slaved over this thing this weekend (hell, this vid is *all* I did this weekend. LOL!!)

Oh man, that was awesome! And I could see a story there Oh goodness at the Fandango part!! I love that dance! Hee!
Mmm cheese.
I vid, therefor I am.
The hardest lesson is that love can be so fair to some, and so cruel to others. Even those who would be gods.

Oh my gosh, I bow down to you Lara! That was hilarious. There were too many great parts to name them all. I thought it was impossible, but you've proved me wrong. Baha! Fantastic job!

LOL! That was awesome! Thank you, Lara!!
Oh man! You did the whole song! Unedited! That's amazing!
Love it! So many great matches and touches! Especially:
"Just killed a man..." Perfect job! The mid/bridge montage "A little siloughetto of a man" - lol! "Figaro" - Brilliant! "He's just a poor boy from a poor family" "We will not let you go!" "No, no, no, no, no!" "A devil put aside for me..." "Stomp me and spit in my eye..." "Just gotta get out..." That whole IR sequence
Perfect ending, too. Just gorgeous.
Wow. I'm definitely going to have to remember this one come AK time!
Thanks again, Lara!!
When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

This is just absolutely wonderful! “escape from reality” – great! “life has just began but now I’m gonna throw it all away” – awwww “send shivers through my spine” – poor Clark “gonna leave you all behind and face the truth” - *sniffles* And the instrumental scene on the roof is soooo sad “he’s just a poor boy…” – LOL! “we would not let you go!” – hehehe “let me go” – ooooh, that’s great! Wow, you did a perfect job with this vid! We should definitely post more un-do-able songs to keep you busy Jana

Sheer brilliance! I've loved this thing from the first snippet you sent me, and it's only gotten better! You did soooo great finding clips to fit with the lyrics, and you sent me on a major emotional roller coaster, going back and forth between hilarious and heartbreaking. So good!

Oh, Lara, that was FRIGGIN' BRILLIANT! I laughed like a maniac through the whole thing. I can only echo everyone above on how perfectly you matched the lyrics to scene clips.
Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.
Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right. Ides of Metropolis

awww! Thank you!! I'm really at a loss for words. I laughed myself silly doing this, so I figured it was at least a little funny - and I'm very proud of the way it turned out (there's a couple little kinks to work out now that I see it on a PC, but still..) I really wasn't expecting this sort of response from you guys. A pat in the back, maybe, but... I'm really a little overwhelmed right now. Thank you! So, soooooo much for the comments!!

Oh, that was awesome!
I loved the part where he was screaming in the Arctic. There was just so many funny parts throughout this video, I could fill a page with them. I also loved how it ended.
Brilliant work! I'd say that it was a weekend well spent!

Lara that was brilliant. There's just no other word to describe it.
Awesome job. Really... I know it had to be a daunting task and you pulled it off beautifully!

Fabulous! Amazing! Fantastic! Why hasn't anyone mentioned "easy come, easy go, little high, little low"? I found it very lol-worthy, for some reason, and all my other favourites have been quoted already. Great job there, Lara! I was so looking forward to this one and was so happy to finally see it done! Keep up the good work! Hugs, AnnaBtG.

Oh, wow!
I very, very rarely look at the music videos. (My habit of not watching is one I picked up over too many years of dial-up. Now with broadband, I still find it a hard habit to shake.)
However, seeing that someone had done a MV to Bohemian Rhapsody... Oh. My. Word. I had to see how that could be even remotely possible.
Lara: that was absolutely fantastic. I laughed even while I was in awe at the way you managed to find a perfect match for each and every line.
My favourite part? Luthor as Beelzebub. Way before we got to that line I was wondering what on Earth you were going to do for it... and what you did was wonderful.
I'm gushing. And I never gush. I didn't even know I could gush.
Congrats.

Holy smegging cow, Laura! "Bohemian Rhapsody?" I thought. "No smegging way!" But...I seriously underestimated the awesome talent of FoLCs, didn't I? I need to stop doing that. I sat there torn between slackjawed awe and laughing myself into a fit. Absolutely superb! The matches were amazing - there wasn't one that was out of sync for me. Others have mentioned all my favourites already. Plus, any music vid that starts with a shot of bare-chested Supes gets the thumbsup from me! The rest was just icing on the cake! LabRat
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Thanks so much for all your comments! I truly appreciate that you took the time to tell me what you thought of this crazy thing. I had so much fun doing it - laughing myself into a fit several times over - and I'm really happy to know that you guys found it amusing and fun as well. Plus, any music vid that starts with a shot of bare-chested Supes gets the thumbsup from me! Well, you know... "shirtless Clark" is my favorite supporting character, after all.
