Just saw the Avengers movie, and kind of new to learning the franchise. I enjoyed the banter in the movie, and you captured that quite nicely. Cute story -- sort of the superhero equivalent of rescuing a stray cat from a tree -- but with portals and alternate dimensions, of course.
Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way.

That was hilarious! Wonderful mixing of DC and Marvel. There are so many good lines I want to quote, but it's late and I'm out of time.
I want more Marcus stories!

I haven't seen the Avengers movie, however, I am quite familiar with the comics.
Well done!
BTW: in the comics Streaky got his name by having a lightning bolt in blond hair on both sides of his body.
Herb replied, “My boy, I never say … impossible.” "Lois and Clarks" My stories can be found herekj

"You've seen 'Star Wars'?" asked Sam, imagining Thor and Teal'c watching the movies and comparing notes.
"All three sagas," Thor said in his normal voice. "Stark insisted."
"They made three prequels in my world," Nightwing said gloomily, "it wasn't a good idea." GREAT! (Coming from someone who was scarred by the presence of Jar-Jar Binks.) I loved the fic. It's snappy, it moves along, you've got excellent characterization, good description, and it's a lot of fun!

Hey, Marcus - this is rattling around inside my brain and I'm not sure if it's real or only wish-fulfillment-fantasy.
Did you do a sequel to "Cat Chaser" where Kara deals with Thor landing in her backyard? For some reason that sounds familiar, but I'm not sure where to find it, if indeed you have posted that.
