Oh, wow, David. I've been desperate to read this since you posted, and antsy at not getting a moment to. What benefits insomnia brings! <g>
And what a terrific segment! I was just on the edge of my seat, totally enthralled throughout.
He continued, ignoring the confused expression on her face. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t anybody tell me?”
“Tell you what, Clark?” She asked, her frown deepening.
“That I’m him... that he’s me.” The mug rattled as he put it on the table with an unsteady hand and stepped around the couch, moving closer to her. “Why didn’t you tell me that I’m Superman?”
What a brilliant revelation! So original and just so right for the moment, too.
And the whole trying to prove he could fly afterwards was wonderfully conceived and conveyed. I was with him every step of the way.
And then...awk! What a cliffhanger! Poor, poor Clark! He needs a hug. A huge hug. Lucky for everyone on Earth, Lois Lane is on hand to provide it. <G>
Can't wait to read part five!
