Leading up to the Kerths we will be posting one quote from the nominated stories list every day for everyone to guess the story it came from. Comment your answers below. "I want you to give Clark Kent a big kiss on the lips. At least five seconds long!" Guess that story!

Since no one has guessed it. Here's a hint: “Think about it, Lois. Whoever is providing the space station for this kind of research would also get the patents for all the cures that are discovered…”
“I think you’re reading too much into it, Clark. I’ve been doing this a lot longer than you have. I think I can smell a skunk in a rose garden better than you can.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Clark asked defensively.
“It means I have more experience at being an investigative reporter than you do.” Lois shot back, “Don’t get all offended. It’s natural, Clark. You’re a rookie. You make the typical mistakes that any rookie reporter makes.”
“Such as?”
“Such as, getting in over your head. You’re looking for a story where there isn’t one. It’s a predictable rookie mistake.”
“Predictable? How is my having suspicions of Lex Luthor predictable?”
“Because it just is…” Lois argued.
He was angry. He knew he was right and she was just ignoring him. On an impulse, he grabbed her and kissed her. He felt her body stiffen against him for a split-second then succumb to the warm caress of his mouth. He slowly pulled away, “Exactly how predictable was that?”

"The whole idea of superheroes with a secret identity...what if it makes people start asking uncomfortable questions? What if there's a sudden resurgence of people bound and determined to expose us again? You know how close things came for me...several times already."

Since no one has guessed this yet I'm going to give you the scene. Anyone got any guesses? He shook his head. "It was terrifying," he said in a lowered tone, mindful of listening ears. Their children did not know of their father's alter ego. "The whole idea of superheroes with a secret identity...what if it makes people start asking uncomfortable questions? What if there's a sudden resurgence of people bound and determined to expose us again? You know how close things came for me...several times already."

How wrong I was. He was never my rival, though he could have been a formidable one. I misjudged him and his motives from the very beginning.

No guesses? Okay here's the hint. How wrong I was. He was never my rival, though he could have been a formidable one. I misjudged him and his motives from the very beginning. How could I know that under the bulky suits and tacky ties lay a man that was generous, kind, intelligent, passionate and infinitely patient? That no matter how much I tried to ignore him and push him away, he would somehow thread his way into my life? That we would become so entangled that losing him would be like losing myself? How could I have known everything he would become to me? Partner. Friend. Rescuer, in more ways than one. Best friend. Boyfriend. Lover. And today we added another thing to the list. Husband.

Ah, I immediately recognized that one. I'll give others a shot first, though.
