Ow.

Remorseless.

Almost cruel.

Almost suicidal.

Not doing something right can be as tragic as doing something wrong.

Painful but deep.

Great job.

Kerth.

Silly me. I was so taken by the beauty of what was there that I neglected to see - or, rather, not see - what wasn't there. You have excelled in non-verbal communication, Mary. I doff my metaphorical hat to you. notworthy clap

My friend, you always push the limits! Bobbart would be so proud of you!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Hi Mary!

No verbs. Huh. I didn’t realize it either. Mind went to haiku instead.

From the structure it is quite clear she would have liked to do something against Clark getting shot. Her inaction caused his death. Of course what could she have done?

The stakato of thoughts is wonderfully delivered. It feels like she has these thoughts flashing through her mind in the span of a moment or two.
