Dedicated to ksarasara, my writing partner/beta reader and overall enabler. A waffy Christmas Revelation fic with a twist! I will be posting all the chapters at once here so you can read the whole thing! Merry Christmas!
Summary:
Lois Lane has discovered Clark's secret, and with Christmas coming up has A PLAN to reveal to him that she knows he is Superman and that she is in love with him.
But like all of Lois' plans, this one isn't entirely well thought out.
A Christmas revelation story inspired by the Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers songs "Christmas to Remember" and "Greatest Gift of All".
Prologue
Lois Lane had a secret. Something nobody else in the world knew. Something that, if printed, would be the biggest story of the year. Maybe even the decade. Something that her partner, Clark Kent didn't know.
She wanted to tell him. She'd wracked her brain trying to think of the best way to do it. But no matter what she thought of, the words never seemed to make it past her lips. It was a pretty big secret after all. Massive. Too big, in fact, for her to carry alone.
And he was her best friend. After everything they'd been through together she felt she owed it to him at the very least to tell him the truth.
Especially since she had come to realize that her feelings for her best friend and partner were not strictly platonic. In fact, ever since her almost-wedding to Lex Luthor, she'd slowly been realising how not-platonic her feelings really were.
On top of it all, Christmas was coming. Her partner's favourite season. She normally didn't pay much attention to the holidays - after all, it was usually just her. This year, she wanted to spend it with him. No secrets, no lies, just the two of them.
So he really should know. She needed to tell him. After all, if their relationship was going to become anything more than platonic she needed to clear the air. He needed to know her secret.
She needed to tell him that she was in love with him, and that she knew that her partner, Clark Kent, was Superman.
So maybe she had two secrets. But, she also had something more important. A plan. Christmas was coming, and Lois didn’t want to spend another one by herself. She wanted her partner by her side. She just needed to get everything ready and hope THE PLAN worked.
