Here's my response to the seven-word-sentence challenge. I let Microsoft Word count the words.

As always, I will appreciate any feedback.

(This feedback post continues the seven-word theme.)

Bravo Lynn! No doubt Clark Kent, reporter, could definitely pull this off. And I suspect the young seven-year-old just might be up to the challenge also! Thanks for a fun read.

Thank you, KSaraSara. I love challenges like this. I just wish I could have made the prose less stilted.

Penny_Lane, I'm with you and Martha on this one: If anyone could do it, Clark could. I suspect he would be far better at it than I. I lost track of the number of times I had to rework or jettison a sentence because of the word count, and I had the luxury of taking my time while writing. Speaking like that in real time for an entire day would require Clark's super abilities as well as his love of language.

Thank you both for leaving feedback. smile

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

I could see little Clark doing this, and of course he'd succeed wink
Thanks for sharing.

HI Blueowl,

Thank you for leaving feedback. I'd love to have seen more of his story, but while he probably could succeed, I about reached my limit with this vignette.

Hi Lynn!

That is the last one for tonight. My buffer of FDK just ran dry blush

Quote
Clark proudly and loudly whooped his delight. โ€œI am now seven whole years old. Today I will only speak seven-word sentences.โ€
Eep, heโ€™s quite wordy for his age clap

Martha smiled at her clever young son. She private doubted whether Clark would succeed. But he, if anyone, could do it.
[Linked Image] You went with seven all the way.

This was another inventive theme you did!

Thanks so much for your fun feedback. I saw it kept the story's theme. Writing in such sentences can be challenging. Your sentences flowed more smoothly than mine.
