Hi 90stvfangirl!
”Lex, we’ve been waiting for forty-five minutes. I have a plane to catch.”
Lois watching with Lex his favorite show: Cooking with a Star.
Lex smiled at her, full of confidence. “Trask assured me it was authentic. It will be worth the wait. You’ll see.”
Eeep, Trask filmed Superman’s adventures with Cat.
”We’ve heard that before,” Lois reminded him with a smirk.
Evil Lois!
The rain and wind picked up, and she considered running for the jeep. She could blast the heater and read today’s edition of the Daily Planet while waiting for Lex’s secret government agent to show up.
If Lex continues to act like that, he won’t get any nookie from Lois tonight. She’s already pretty irritated as it is.
Trask crossed his arms in front of his chest. “You brought a reporter here? What tabloid are you from, honey?”
The Daily Globe. It prints only truly fake stories.
Lex stepped in front of her. “You want the people to know the truth, don’t you? She’s an award-winning journalist. If she writes a story about this, people will listen.”
Yes, her story on the mayor’s visit to the Downtown Cat House made quite the splash.
Lois scoffed. “You think aliens sent their baby here? In that?” She exchanged a skeptical glance with Lex, annoyed that he convinced her to go on another pointless goose chase.
Yes. Studies proved that infants are far more likely to find a home than twenty-something males.
”Does it, though? It would have been a tiny baby. How would it even survive?”
Depends on the respective alien lore. It’s either adoption by a farmer couple or it eats itself through the local livestock until it grows big enough to mate with a human female.
“Lois, don’t think of it as being a baby. We don’t know what was in there.”

”Kal El,” she whimpered as her knees gave out.
Hitting the ground hard, she heard Lex scream her name.
Then there was nothing.
I can’t help but wonder if she might not be connected, given her earlier reaction about the handprint fields. She’s not a hidden Zara, is she?
Hope you find your way around those plot holes you mentioned! /hands over map of latest minesweeper/
