It's so great that Lois secretly helps Clark through a sticky situation. I love how you show us the newspaper reading from both sides, how Lois pieces together what happened the evening before and Clark watches her do it, wondering what's going on with her.

I’m sorry that I’m late to join the party but I just got caught up. I love this story! I don’t remember reading a revelation like this before. It was wonderful! I like how Lois the next morning put together the Daily Planet’s headlines with Clark’s disappearances and how she’s secretly helping and supporting him. Lois comforting Clark without his knowing why after he found out the mother who Superman rescued the night before had died was sweet. I wonder if she lied about Henderson calling to get Clark out of attending the symposium so Superman can appear instead. I can’t wait for the next chapter! Thanks for a great fic!

Edited to add “had died” before “was sweet” above. It should make more sense now.

@Songbird I am not surprised you missed this as I have been posting so sporadically it would be hard to follow along! Life continues to be a bit unpredictable so I write when I can. Thank you for the wonderful feedback. I'm glad you felt this revelation worked. I really wanted there to be some time for her to process this information, and peel back the onion on who he really is before she tells him she knows; the timing just wasn't quite right on the morning of her big day for them to have that talk, so it allows for her to also see new facets of their relationship, and of him. Re: Henderson, I think she was more just trying to get him out of the discomfort of having to be on stage defending his alter-ego for several hours at a time, but it might also be paving the way for an appearance . @bakasi thank you, I really wanted to play with this idea of how he's actually been showing up for her in spite of the extra busy day his alter-ego was having. She can clearly see his devotion to her (in both guises, as Superman, rushing off to save the world, but rushing back to be with her as Clark) through his actions for the first time. Really appreciate you both following along and commenting!
