Hi Kathryn! This reminds me, I’ll please need your story stats (word count and character count) for this. Kerth tooling expects only a single story part per thread. Thanks! December 7th Relax, it’s not a breaking news story! No need to open this door faster than Clark changes into the suit. LOIS: The author does realize there was the whole Mxymas situation last year, doesn't she? This little baggy could be gone in the blink of an eye. Taking the bag from the basket and opening it, she found a book-shaped ornament and a small bookmark inside, decorated with intricate designs. Telling her to read a book instead of lusting after her husband? It’s about slowing down, sharing stories with loved ones and making the night about something simple yet meaningful.” Just like reporting! Sharing the story. Check. Doing something simple yet meaningful. He does frequently rescue Lois. That qualifies, doesn’t it? “Perfect weather for staying in and reading.” It’s so meta, reading this Clark chuckled, stepping closer. “I figured after the banketstaaf and all the cookies we ate last night, you might appreciate something a little lighter.”
Her eyes narrowed playfully. “Are you saying I need to cut back? Because I will fight you over the chocolate.” Survival tip (pro level): never call your wife, who rescues you frequently from kryptonite, fat. Survival tip (expert level): suggest she needs the energy later, when the two of you retire for the evening’s entertainment. Lois rolled her eyes. “Oh, please. You could eat an entire buffet of junk food and still fit into your spandex suit. It’s downright unfair.” She’s free to wear spandex, too. . “I was just thinking about how much time you must have spent on planning all of this.” /Eyes author meta reference warily/ “Well, finding a tradition took the most time, actually. Once I had 24 traditions, the rest was just research and finding good recipes.” He became thoughtful for a moment. “I have to admit – it was nice to see the different traditions from around the world.” I’m 100% uncertain(sic) you wrote this before you ever started the process “You’re all I need, you know that?”
Clark’s hand traced the curve of her back as he murmured, “And you’re all I ever wanted…” Awwww Neither noticed when the power went out, the world outside fading away as they remained wrapped in their own quiet bubble of warmth. Intrigue! He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice. Gonna find out whose edits are nice. Santa Claus is coming to town. Michael

Hi Kathryn! Dec 8th Clark wouldn’t approve of this sneaky behavior. Lois might... but only if you share the scoop with her! Yes, but would she share the scoop back after she has her fingers on it? The sound of the phone ringing stirred Clark from sleep. Someone calling for Superman? Lois curled up, mumbling something incoherent but didn’t wake. Story. Kerth. Pulitzer! With his x-ray vision he could see she was just beginning to stir, her hair tousled and face still half-buried in the pillow. Daylight baaaaad! Clark shook his head. “No, nothing came up. Guess we were… a little distracted.” I did wonder if “he kept her up late” sounds like he kept her up very late. Lois narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “Don’t even think about it.” No painting Lois? ”Regret?” he said, feigning innocence, even as he darted just out of her reach. “I think it’s an improvement.” Chocolate covered Lois. It’s a metropolitan specialty. Lois mock-sighed, handing over the spatula. “Fine. But only because I don’t want to waste perfectly good chocolate.” A very practical reason. They walked home together, the spirit of giving warming their hearts as the day settled into a peaceful evening. Peaceful. Quiet. Reason: Jingle bells, jingle bells, edit’s on the way, oh what fun it is to write on the message boards today! You really should repost this on Discord! Still catching up. /eyes calendar/ Well…if you can call it “catching up” Michael

Hi Kathryn! Now, for FDK-FDK-FDK on Dec 6th I don’t think so. *oude* means old and *gracht* means canal. Thanks for looking this up! Santa Lex - If it helped his public image, he’d do it. Okay, now we need a first person POV of this You don’t like almond paste, I assume? Oh, I probably should have been more precise: “oh dear, that’s a couple of calories”. /goes back to cutting of slices from marzipan block to eat as a snack/ It’s why I don’t keep marzipan at home, normally. I‘m sure they‘ll find a way to burn those calories together LOIS: Clark, look! I can’t believe it. Cat has written a book. And sent us an advanced copy. CLARK: Umm…Lois? LOIS: It’s named ’24 Christmas Treats’. Huh. I never knew Cat to be so engaged in Christmas. CLARK: Ummm…Lois…? I won‘t admit that there might be already a file for 2025, but if anyone wants to tell me a wish for next year it would probably help my muse. Well…I was gonna post this separately: What if Kyle Griffin is making a Lois Lane Survival Advent Challenge? 24 days. 24 death traps. 24 ways for Superman to rescue her. Unless he ends up with a case of the greens during one of those events? Pregnancy: I don’t know what you mean. No idea. No idea at all. Thanks for your Feedback. You are very welcome! Michael

Hi Kathryn! December 9th Santa sees you! And so does Superman. Close this door! So…no hiding a kidnapped Lois behind a closed door? Don’t wait for me, have a great day at work. Love you. Did he just give his wife carte blanche to break and enter? As usual, Lois had covered for him with Perry, claiming he’d been tied up chasing a lead. PERRY: Isn’t she sweet? It’s why I let her keep her belief that I know nothing but how to yodel. But I will have to somehow teach her to fact-check her excuses. Nobody who knows them would believe that it’s *Clark* who gets tied up at work instead of Lois. Spinning excuses for her partner had become second nature, but it still left her slightly on edge every time. Oops? Turning the crank, a soft, soothing version of Silent Night began to play, filling the room with its gentle melody.
“This stands for Austria,” Clark whispered, brushing a light kiss against her temple. Because of the composer priest? He hesitated before adding, “I thought we could visit the winter market around the corner. They’re hosting a charity concert tonight. I heard they let people from the audience join.” Oh, Lois gets to sing? Lois tilted her head back slightly to look at him, a warm smile spreading over her face. “You can be my backup… in a purely non-musical way.” /imagines Clark jumping around in the background in tight green elven wear, cranking his arms as The Robot as he’s rocking to her voice/ When the final notes of the carol drifted away, Lois turned to Clark. “This reminds me of another Christmas... three years ago, when you stayed with me.” Oh, I think the timeline was only implied before, wasn’t it? Lois wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer, her voice low but full of meaning. “Mine too. You didn’t let me be alone then, and you’ve never let me feel alone since.” Awww, what a nice and quiet episode Is it Rudolph? Is it Santa’s sleigh? No it’ just another edit on the way. And Lois’s copy looking like Rudolph sneezed all over it? Michael

Hi Kathryn December 10th If you open this door early, Lois will be cooking the Christmas dinner. Still tempted? Will it be as OOC as the one from Season Two? “Morning,” she murmured, her voice still thick with sleep. “How about we just stay in bed today? Maybe Perry won’t notice we’re missing.” Actually, Perry does get suspicious when Lois and Clark *both* are missing at the same time. LOIS: I’ll file a mental health day. HR: Yeah, that from fly anymore ever since Ms. Grant tried *that* one about twenty times in one year. Inside, she found a tiny wooden spoon. /points at cooking remark from spoiler/ Lois inspected the ornament more closely. “Are we cooking something today?” Between pinched fingers, getting scrutinized with a suspicious frown? “Well,” Clark began, pointing to the spoon, “this ornament represents a Finnish Christmas sauna. Ooohhhh… The steam, the warmth… It's meant to bring peace and reflection, which is a big part of their holiday spirit. Normally, Lois has to work hard to get lowered into a vat of boiling water. Clark laughed. “True, but that just means I’ll be your personal fan, keeping you company while you enjoy it.” /eyes his fan-boy-ishness suspiciously/ As the sauna’s soothing heat worked its magic, Lois leaned back and closed her eyes, surrendering to the warmth. The tension from her day began to melt away. “Okay,” she murmured, her tone softer now. “I get it. This is actually really nice.” Awww…mellowed-out Lois Lois cracked one eye open, turning her head to look at him. “You’re sneakily turning me into a reflective holiday person.” Today’s edit comes late but it’s extra hot. You certainly had a huge bunch of fun with this Michael

Hi Kathryn! December 11th You know who’s a very patient man? Clark. Be like Clark. Being Lois is much more exciting! CLARK: Only so long as you don’t compare it to chasing after her so you can make sure she stays alive and relatively unharmed. Lois stretched lazily under the covers, her nose twitching at the heavenly aroma of coffee wafting into the room. She opened her eyes to see Clark standing at the bedside, holding a steaming mug. Sleeping late, are we? Clark’s face lit up. “It’s a Christmas cracker! They’re a British holiday tradition. Families pull these at the dinner table during Christmas. When you open it, it makes a snapping sound and inside you’ll find a paper crown, a little toy or trinket and a joke.” This is actually the weirdest one yet. Beats the spider right out of the park. “‘What do you get if you cross a snowman and a vampire?’” She glanced at Clark, who shrugged. “‘Frostbite…” “Absolutely splendid! And as the queen of this household, I decree that you return to bed at once, good sir.” Shocking behavior. Absolutely shocking behavior! She laughed, reaching for his hand. “Good. Let’s see if you’re as good at following commands as you are at making coffee.” Wow, this turned out to be a very dark part indeed. /heads over to the lights-out place/ A short while later, after a quick breakfast, they stepped out into the crisp morning air. And only a short while. Poor Lois. Clark chuckled. “Don’t worry. I’ve got enough super-speed to clean up any mess you make… though let’s try not to set the kitchen on fire this time.” “this time” Lois smirked, playfully narrowing her eyes. “That was one time, and technically the flames were under control.” “technically under control” “So,” Lois began, eyeing the flour and butter with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, “what’s my role in this operation?” She directs the placement of the chocolate pieces. Clark flashed her a reassuring grin. “We’ll tackle it together. It’s foolproof, I promise. The last time he said that, they had to rebuild two entire blocks. “Besides, legend has it that eating one mince pie on each of the Twelve Days of Christmas brings good luck for the entire year.” At least to the local fitness studio. “Noted,” he said with a laugh, handing her a rolling pin. “Now, let’s see if we can make some Christmas magic without setting off the smoke alarm.” That last time was *Clark’s* fault. No matter how good Lois is in the kitchen, you turn off the stove *first*. The grinch tried to steal this edit. Does that mean Perry’s the Grinch? Michael

Hi Kathryn! December 12th Don’t make me call Perry! He’d have a thing or two to say about ruining the Christmas surprise. I was just looking for Lois! Making sure she’s all right. Clark had stumbled in about an hour ago, exhausted from a long night of rescues and she’d let him sleep while she quietly whipped up an easy breakfast of toast, scrambled eggs and fresh coffee. *scrambled* eggs? Okay, what did you do with Lois and where did the clone come from? Clark blinked at her, clearly touched. “Lois, this is... thank you.” He sat up straighter, taking in the spread. “You didn’t have to do this.” LOIS: It was nothing. The egg powder came pre-packaged for one portion. It said to stir it into one cup of water – I used milk to make It richer – put it into a soup dish and microwave for three minutes on the medium setting. The package even said that even though it’s for astronauts, making it isn’t rocket science. They even had a smiling five-your-old on it holding up the finished product. She shrugged her robe off, slipping back into bed beside him with her own mug of coffee. “Maybe not, but I wanted to. Also I managed to make a pretty decent breakfast, so I figure we better celebrate the accomplishment.” Awww… she’s taking advantage of her husband *before* he eats the breakfast. Very wise choice. Lois smirked, setting the shell on the tray. “Well, I don’t know about a picnic, but I like the idea of a warm Christmas. No shoveling snow, no frozen pipes… just sunshine and sand.” /eyes outdoors/ Well…it might be more of a London summer than an Australian summer, but still… Clark laughed. “That’s the beauty of it. It doesn’t have to look the same everywhere. It’s about the people you share it with and finding joy in the little things.” /squints/ But snow has been part of Christmas ever since… *VOICE FROM THE ETHER WHISPERS* Ah, I see you point. Dry heat and sand has been part of Christmas ever since it’s inception. Are you sure you didn’t forget to tell me about your secret identity as Santa?” Give it a couple of years and he’ll fill the red suit just fine! “Just trying to help you see the magic, honey,” he said, leaning over to kiss her cheek. “And you know all my secret identities.” DIRT DIGGER: Superman’s secret family discovered in Missouri! Read the tell-all interview how Superman met his wife during a tornado rescue in Kansas City! - simple and unexpected - feeling perfect.
Just like every moment they spent together. Awww… Santa's workshop and the Fortress of Solitude had a joint meeting. This edit was the result. Merry Christmas, Kathryn! Michael

#25 *melts* I love this. It’s so sweet and it just made me happy. I was hoping Lois would tell Clark since this is the last day of the calendar but I noticed on the list with the places from the calendar that there’s another “Click to Hide Content” so I’m hoping that means there’s another fic. I really would like to see Clark’s reaction. He’s going to be over the moon! With Clark, that expression can also be literal too.
I enjoyed the banter and teasing between Lois and Clark. I thought it was funny that Clark told Lois to slow down and she replied “Slow down? Do you even know me?” That’s Lois!
It’s perfect that the twigs they gathered on St. Barbara’s Day are blooming. Since they represent new life I was expecting Lois to tell Clark then but she somehow managed to not spill the beans.
I think the dove was fitting for the last day of the calendar. It is a symbol of peace and hope and Clark is all about bringing peace and hope to the world.
I’m holding out hope for a Christmas treat tomorrow! Thank you! I love this series!!
