The plot is warming up both on New Krypton and Earth. Kal-El has his hands full preparing for single combat. Meanwhile Lois interviews a rather unsavory character. help

My computer woes continue. Hopefully, the mess that are the files on this story will come together so The Courier can be completed in a timely manner. In the meantime, I might post a story from my Seasons series.

As always comments are most welcome!

Thanks for another terrific chapter! It’s nice that Pete is looking out for Lois during Clark’s absence. Pete is right that Talmadge wouldn’t want to tangle with Clark later.

The interview was interesting. I wasn’t expecting the twist that Elden was embezzling money and that a coding error caused the patient bills not to be paid. Embezzling money from the Churches wasn’t smart and he very well could be dead.

Talmadge is smart not to like the tone of Lois’s voice. He’s going to find out how hard it is to keep Lois Lane safe!

I’m sorry your computer woes are continuing. I can’t wait for more but I promise to be patient. Good things are worth waiting for! I love this story!

Will Talmadge be able to keep up with Lois? He's no Clark Kent.

Clark is lucky to have good friends like Pete.

Hope you can get your computer working fine again.

Pete is the brother that Clark never had. Its a shame the character keeps getting ignored which is why I put him in stories whenever possible. Better for Paul Talmadge to tangle with Dr. Ross than a certain Kryptonian.

Simcoe is a creep, but he does respect Elden's computer skills, if not his common sense. More on that later.

Next chapter might not be posted until next week. Sorry! whinging

Hi Andrea! wave

Talmadge and Lois each have strengths that apply in their respective arenas of journalism. True, her relationship with Superman has in a small way dampened her effectiveness when going undercover, but when it comes to digging out the facts on a case, especially this one, he cannot keep up.

As I mentioned previously Dr. Ross really hasn't appeared much in the stories I have read in this fandom. Pity really. That's probably because he did not appear in the series. If he had, I have no doubt we would read more about him. Pete is a good friend. During a crisis we all need to lean on someone, which is why Lois tell him she is in contact with Clark. The series limited just how many people are in LnC's life. So with my stories more friends and acquaintances show up. Molly is a good friend to Lois. Her more relaxed personality is a neat counterbalance to Lois' buttoned up persona, not to mention she is a lot of fun to write!

Thanks so much for commenting! My computer woes continue, so The Courier is going to be on hiatus for a little while. I might be able to get one more chapter up next week, but for now I am doing a lot of re-writing on some of the later chapters which were affected. Thankfully I backed most of the stuff on OneDrive.
