Oh, my goodness. Tie-dyed Supes.

That pot must have been grown with kryptonite fertilizer to have any effect on him....

So they got married, and had free love and marijuana for the rest of the sixties!

Which didn't last all that long as Superman was too toked to do anything but say "Wow man, Like cool" when the news of Nightfall was announced.
Hey, Patrick, Nightfall didn't come our way until the nineties, hmm? So Superman had almost three decades to emerge from his grass-induced bliss. And he did quit, as Mary can attest. I distinctly remember a story you wrote, probably called "Just Say No", where Clark promised Lois he would give up drugs. Well, you see, he didn't drink a lot of alcohol because it didn't affect him, but drugs certainly did! Ah, but he did promise Lois he'd quit!!!

Like Lisa, I, too, can almost see the flourescent black light snaking like the innards of a lava lamp throughout this entire little vignette. Look! Up in the sky! It's Lucy - eh, Lois - flying in the sky with Superman and diamonds - a diamond engagement ring!

Oh, man, like, that was just so totally far-out! Groovy, baby! Hey, didn't I see them the other day in a yellow submarine?

Wow.

I just found this and had to comment. Totally groovy story! Thanks for the laughs.

"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
