Hi, Great part!
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

Clark is pulling a Lois - find out what's going on and THEN figure out there's danger.

Huh? Can you explain that for a stupid German, Dandello? I've no idea what you're talking about!

Lois (especially the one in SR ) runs in were angels and Superman should know better than to go - Clark is doing the same thing here, running towards danger with a child in hand to find out what's going on, and THEN he'll realize that was a dumb thing to do. I'm betting had L&C actually gone into a 5th season, there would have been an episode with Lois going into danger with a baby pouch and Clark becoming completely unhinged over it.

Becca was the queen of unspoken suggestions. I love that!! “You have to say: It’s nice to meet you, too.” Becca whispered. Clark started to laugh. This was just so…Becca. Ahhh… It was right at this moment that Clark’s promise was tested. He heard screams of fear. People were coughing violently and things were crushing on the ground. Something was burning but sirens from the fire trucks were nowhere to be heard. Hadn’t they been called yet? Clark turned to Becca and lifted her up quickly, ignoring her protests. He knew that she wouldn’t be able to keep up with his pace when he started running. Clark followed the noise and hurried to get there. The fire couldn’t be far away, but he still didn’t hear sirens. Oh, my what a cliff hanger!! Why is he drowning in a glass of water? What do you mean, Maria? Great part, Barbara.

Barbara, I'm sorry my FDK is going to be short, but I really liked this chapter. The interaction between Clark and Becca is wonderful. I love how Clark is being a responsible father and is trying to raise Becca in a good way, making her unpack that box. And then, when she hated doing it, and she so much wanted to go out with him, he invited her to come with him to the Daily Planet instead. I love it!
I'm so glad that Clark got the job, and I absolutely loved that little scene between Clark, Jimmy and Becca in the newsroom!
I feel very sorry about Clark's dilemma about his job and Becca's school, but he obviously must go to work on Monday. The way I see it, Jonathan or Martha should take Becca to school. After all, she can't be the first or only child who has had to start school without being accompanied by a parent. Of course I realize she is going to be sad and disappointed, and I love Clark for wanting to be there for her. But sometimes, you just can't fix everything.
And like Nancy, I thought that was a fascinating cliffhanger. What's going to happen when Clark arrives at the site of the accident dressed as Clark Kent and with little Becca in his arms?

Very nicely done. I'm intrested to see where this leads. I'm leaning toward a Lois who is just in awe to see how good of a father Clark is. Maybe she'll even agree to watch out for Becca sometimes.
I'm a firm believer in the fact that God doesn't put any more on us than we can bear. He does however make us come to Jesus every so often.
