Yea, Rhea, you posted it!
Clark is in a pickle now!
"Walk among my people? It sometimes amuses me. How else do you think I can go on dates?"
For goodness sake, Lois, I hope this line alone plants a few seeds of doubt.
Was he teasing her? Or did he do this regularly? And just how many women did he date? Lois felt anger growing within her. Did he think that she would just fall into his bed if he showed up like this? Did he even have a bed?
I love this series of questions ending with an irreverent one!
The spark was gone. She felt nothing. In fact, as his mouth moved over hers, all she could think of was how she hated the feel of his scratchy jacket on her skin. Her mind told her that she should be enjoying this but all she wanted was to go home and watch some TV or reading a good book.
oh good!
Why hadn't he thought of that right away? He could still do it, return as Superman and Lois would have to question the validity of this man's claims.
Yes, that is a good idea, but then you'd have to explain why Superman just randomly showed up at a social event!
I am so glad that Lois left "Superman" to go help Clark.
So the question now is, does Lois still think this guy is Superman or not? Lack of attraction aside, when she thinks back on it, she probably will begin to realize that the man was acting very un-Superman-ish. Also I don't think it is in Lois' nature just to accept his claim without some proof, at least not after the initial shock of his statement wears off.
Great opener, Rhea. I am looking forward to more!
