Ohhh!!!! This was a really awesome little story katey! Because it was so delightful I will forgive you for not updating Frizen Stream... well for a little while anyway. smile

I liked how it wasn't until the very end that I caught on that you were talking about Claude. For some reason I was thinking you were doing something AU and that maybe it was some guy who had tried to kill her or something. Maybe it is because it is early and I just didn't catch on fast enough. clap

Darn. And I was hoping Claude would actually try confronting her, despite what he saw.

Good story though. smile

Lovely, Katey. The entire ending was just beautiful:

Quote
She was married. She was pregnant. She was his, that other man’s, and he was hers. Utterly and completely.

And he knew, without a shadow of a doubt that were he ever to meet her again, it would be she who had the blank look, the one who would not remember or recognize him.

Claude Bontecou had long ago lost any remaining power he might have had over Lois Lane.
It wasn't just the ending that was beautiful, but everything that came before the ending set up the ending so perfectly!

And I have to agree with Jojo: I always love to see a pregnant Lois. (Well, assuming she is pregnant with Clark's child, but that really goes without saying.)

Beautiful, Katey!

Loved it, too.

Nice to be on the receiving end for a change, isn't it, Claude?

Loved it! I caught on that it was Claude right away - creep. I'd have loved to have seen her give Claude the blank look (like she really wouldn't remember who he was).

But no, she had managed to babble on for two hours.

Cute story. Yes, it was pretty obvious that the person in the story was Claude, but that didn't spoil the 'punchline'.

LOL. Good story. It would have been nice to see him try to confront Lois, just before Clark showed up but there are a million wonderful scenarios one can imagine concerning Lois meeting Claude again. And no, having Clark hold him over a pit of alligators is *not* one of them ...
