Yay, you posted! This is really a very cute story -- I think my favorite line was about how John Doe being arrested "couldn't have happened to a darn nicer guy." Though I also appreciated the bit about the Philosophy professor's attitude toward apologies <g> Now, about that other story of yours... "Flying Solo," wasn't it? PJ

This was a really fun little story! Just what I needed to lighten my mood on this too-hot, muggy day.
Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Hi, Cute story.
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

Thanks again, Claire! I might be biased, but I think this is fantastic. I adore Alt-Clark, and wouldn't mind cheering him up just a bit, even if it was only temporary. Definitely a great birthday present! Thanks, Annie PS. now that you've got your creative juices flowing again, we'll be waiting with baited breath for your next story. <G>

Thank you all so very much. Annie, I'm especially glad you liked it, and Chief Pam and Annette, I'll get that other one up soon. Thanks also to Rivka, Laura, Helga, MFA, Merry, and Alicia. You are very kind--and Bumpkin--I'm sorry to confuse you, even momentarily, and thanks. Sorry it took so long to answer this. Now to go and read and read these great Boards.

I'm still busy catching up on my reading, Clair, that's why I'm giving my fdk this late. I loved this little story. Very cute! I'm a great fan of AltClark and of Tempus! And I too would like to see more from you on these boards. Ursie
Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique. Clark: You certainly are unique.
Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that? Lois: But I'm worth it!
