Oh, You ARE good. You had me wondering the entire time if it was Clark or Lex talking.

Nice Job. notworthy

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Fantastic, Paul!

I suspected that it was Lex from these lines:

Quote
"I had power back then," the old man mused. "Real power."

The young man nodded again. Everyone knew that.
but that didn't make it any less powerful.

That was the line that made me suspect it was Luthor, as well. But I still enjoyed the story, nonetheless. And I hadn't figured out who the kid was.

Altogether a good story. Very enjoyable.

Awesome story, Paul.

First I thought it was Luthor, then I thought it was Clark...and then I reached the end! Great, Paul! clap clap clap

I liked it, but then again, I like villains. There's something really appealing about seeing Luthor be that candid. smile

Thanks for the FDK, guys. Glad you enjoyed the story (or what there was of it, anyway). I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. smile

Eeeak! Paul! I thought I had left you fdk on this... but it appears not.

I definitely enjoyed this. You sorta kinda had me fooled - I kept thinking that it just had to be Luthor...

Nicely done. You have to do more like this one. <g> Of course I wouldn't complain if it was longer next time... goofy

Hmmm. I was bouncing back and forth until the end. Thought it might be some alt-universe thing going on.

So many ideas, so little paper.

Ooo, more FDK! Thanks! smile

Don't know about doing more, DJ, but glad you enjoyed this one enough to ask. smile

James, alt-U wasn't anywhere in my mind. I mean, yeah, Lex lived, but we've seen him die enough times to know it's never permanent. Otherwise, I just thought it was interesting to see how similar things can look from Clark and Lex's respective POVs.

Thanks for writing this!

I knew it would have to be Lex from the start actually. Though I am surprised that he knew that Superman was Clark Kent and so on.

Great story. My heart goes out to Lex.

Well, Lex did know by the end of the series. This story takes place years after that. So it seemed only right that he would know at that point.

Glad you liked, though, and thanks for taking the time to let me know! smile
